Pure Jeevan Raw RV Tour Postponed.

Wendi posted this yesterday on our Pure Jeevan blog. I thought I'd share it here as well...

When you're young and learning the letters of the alphabet, anything that starts with the same letter as your name becomes really special. Well, ever since I was a child and saw a Winnebago RV with the giant "W" on the side, I've been enchantedContinue

Checking out Senbeb Cafe in D.C. tomorrow (Sat., June 27). Wanna join us?

I've heard some pretty great things about Senbeb Cafe in Washington, D.C. (6224 3rd St. NW., Wash. DC 20011). My daughter & I are going to check it out tomorrow @ 6pm for dinner after a day of exploring DC. (We're bringing our dog, too... heard they have some outside seating!). Anyone want to join us? If so, show up @ 6! :-) -Jim Continue

Wendi and I Will Be Interviewed Tonight on Revvell's "Let's Talk Raw"!

Jim here... Wow, tough to believe we're heading into the end of April already. We've been absolutely busier than ever working on taking Pure Jeevan to the upcoming phase of full-time mobile rawsomeness! We're honing in on the RV we'll be using to tour the country, and we're working like mad to sell ouContinue

Some Thoughts on Cravings

About an hour ago, I purchased $68 worth of ice cream from a local supermarket. Bet you thought you'd never read something like that here, eh? Well, don't worry -- Wendi and I haven't suddenly decided to binge on dairy products. You see, in my corporate job, I'm often the event organizer; today that meant ice cream gopher. For some raw foodies, that scenario might seem rather… Continue

Raw Babylon

Allow me to think out loud, philosophically, for a few moments, will you? I have a gut suspicion about something, but need to think it through a bit here. I'll start with a quote:

"There have also been a number of traditions around the world that describe a divine confusion of the one original language into several, albeit without any tower [referring to the well known story of the Tower of Ba

...Because, IMHO, We All Should Learn More About Organic Farming!

When you consider the scary agricultural and marketplace practices that affect the food we eat (e.g., pesticide use in the fields, widespread irradiation afterward, and the contamination of produce from various sources -- not to mention some of the disturbing potentialities we face in terms of further governmental intervention into the food chain), it leads one to the conclusion that, if we really want to eat the best food ever, growing it yourself is a great solution. It's also cheaper to grown… Continue

Bloodhound Superpowers: Developing a Nose for Intuition

[Here's a post I wrote up last week during some downtime. It's not as cohesive and polished as I'd like in areas, but seems generally done enough let loose on the world.]

I wanted to share a quote with you from a fascinating book called Aromatherapy, Scent & Psyche by Peter & Kate Damian:

To give some idea of the brain's immense operationa

There Are Too Many Jim's In the World, But That's Changing

...and I don't mean simply "all people named Jim," like me. Rather, I mean different versions of myself. Many strange, wonderful, terrible, amazing, fill-in-the-blank personal events converged in mid September (2008) for me, with raw foods playing a major role as I suddenly jumped from roughly 80+% raw foods for around 2 years to 100%. Without plumbing the depths of that transition here, I can say that there was a sudden, fundamental shift in my outlook upon the world -- an enormously painful sh… Continue

Haha! Probably Charles! I actually bought this dress at the spirit fest because it was on sale and made from 100% organic hemp. The rest of the clothes I brought were pretty grubby. :)

I avoid dinner dates, because that's never a good way to know someone on a first date. And besides, you never know whether they accepted to go to dinner because they liked you or because they didn't want to cook and they wanted to be treated out t...
