I'm off to the doctor and eastern/western guru,
Dr. Khalsa, today to test my Adrenals, my hormones, my toxic load, my level of metal toxicity and to test again to see if my candida is gone so wish me luck! This will just be another extension of my education.
In the meantime, I love the documentary
FOOD MATTERS that I posted the trailer to…

I'm back!! I was in New York for a week and it was just beautiful! I will have to make this a 2 part post because there is so much I want to write about. Here I am in Sheep's meadow in Central Park. The weather was gorgeous.

Let me back up a bit though. Last week I came down with a cold. I came home one night and it came on rather suddenly. My nose started itching and I began sneezing non-stop.…

I'm back and will have a long catch up post this weekend. In the meantime I came across the video while researching
phthalates. I have been hearing and reading a lot about these chemicals that are used in perfumes, dies, plastics, etc. and can severely affect reproductive development. I have been checking all my products and trying to make sure that I at least am not using perfumes or products with them but it is hard to unders…

I was having a bummer of a day today when I go the most wonderful email from a reader named Michelle. She reversed her cervical dysplasia and was inspired to do so by reading my blog. I was very touched and honored by her generosity of spirit and gratitude. I had a smile from ear to ear and felt positively ecstatic to hear of her success. It was so needed too. I'm am overjoyed for her and couldn't be happier that she has chosen to share her story and to tell others about her experience. I look f…

As you all know by now Kris Carr has transformed my life with her documentary Crazy Sexy Cancer and her online community
Crazy Sexy Life. I have gone on to transform my family's lives. They have gone on to transform their friend's lives and the chain continues on and on. It is so exciting what one person can do. How one person can make a difference. I get teary watching this video (could be my hormones but I don't think so). I get teary…

My dear friend Elizabeth has a wonderful magazine called
Waiting Room Magazine and she has been kind enough to feature my story. Let me first tell you about this amazing magazine, the following is from their site:
WHO WE ARE: WAITING ROOM is the only magazine for young adults dealing with cancer. We are an information clearinghouse for 15-39 year olds; a serially overlooked, but significant group desperately in need of w…

I've gotten really into juicing because what I don't like to eat or feel like eating I juice. That way I still get all the vitamins. I love my Breville Compact. Tonight's Juice:
Ruby Wednesday
1 stalk rhubarb
1 beet
1 bunch spinach
1 bunch collards
1 bunch celery
1 pink lady apple
1 cucumber
I found this to be very refreshing and great chilled for the hot summer nights!

I have been trying to decide how to write up what I have been through for the past few months. I thought about writing a succinct page and calling it the “girls corner”. There is so much information in my head it is really overwhelming to try and write it all down on one
page so I will be updating this often. I wanted to get something down
in the meantime for those who were interested. (this post will always
be available at the top of my blog under PAGES: Girl's Corner).
It all started

My mom sent me this note this morning and I loved it so much I had to share:
A day of thanks,
Because I was born an American, because I met a wonderful Irishman who wanted to live in America where opportunities abound, where freedom is in every breath of everyday life, where so many of the daily liberties are preserved by so very many who serve and protect us, where I was able to raise a family without fear and repression, where hard work and a purposeful life is rewarded, and the j…

Omi Paula 100 years old, Henry 1 year old
My friend's husband, Greg, took this picture of his Omi (grandmother) Paula who is 100 and his son Henry, who is 1. I was so moved by the picture that I just had to know her story so I asked him to interview her and write it up so I could share it with all of you.
This furthers my belief that there is no "one perfect diet" however I

In college I used to have a bumper sticker on my car that said SAVE THE HUMANS! With a picture of a whale smiling. I didn't really know what it meant but I thought it was funny since everyone was always trying to save whales and other things. I thought, sure, why not humans? They could use the help. It wasn't until I saw Leonardo DiCaprio's documentary THE 11th HOUR and Gore's IN CONVENIENT TRUTH that I fully understood it. The planet is not in trouble, we are!! The planet is fine. When are peop…
