Hello!
I thought it would be apt to indulge myself in a blog post here, I havn't done it in a while and it's always sweet to post something and communicate with fellow health pioneers.
Anyways, right now I'm working with a challenging issue and would love some feedback/input about how to focus so I can achieve more BALANCE, particularly with my eating habits. I still live with my parents and siblings... my birth family, and the biggest challenge is probably our differences in perspective around… Continue
I gave everyone the hints to guess who today's guest was going to be. No one got the answer correct so here it is, Dr. Stanley Bass.
My hints were:
-He is from where I am from; Brooklyn
-Fishing; Like in fishing bass
-Fasting; Dr. Bass has fasted more than most people alive.
Dr. Bass is not a vegan but the amazing thing that he has correct is he understands the amount of food we eat has everything to do with our longevity. Dr. Bass gives some great history and advice in this interview. He look… Continue

I've finally decided to seriously take the plunge into raw veganism.
In August I was 100% raw vegan for 19 days but I went back to my sloppy vegetarian cooked diet. At least I've been vegetarian for over a year now. I'll never eat meat again, that's for sure, it disgusts me.
So far so good! I'll be focusing on being as close to 80/10/10 as possible but I won't stress about it too much. I'll make an effort to get in several mono meals as well.

Today was the first day of frost and mist here in Scotland. It looks nice though with a little bit of warmth from the sunshine behind it all. The squirrel came up for its chestnuts and hazelnuts. Partner has just brought up all the wheatgrass trays to sit in the sunshine indoors as it won't grow outside now. He even bought a special little tiered bench for them, aw.
Anyway, since it's been cooling down I've been busy making lovely curries, chocolate crispy bars and it's flapjacks today.

I have been completely raw for the past 5 days now (well, excluding the heinous act of including unsweetened almond milk..gasp!) I'm feeling really super, yet a little grumbly in the tumbly.. must be all the fiber that my system isn't used to. I went for a nice long walk today around the neighborhood, I just moved in here a month ago and I'm having fun discovering things to do around here. I've made a commitment to be active every single day, since I am healing from a bulging… Continue

In my previous blog post I used Coconut Cream Concentrate in the Fruity Irish Creme Pie.
I have been recommending a Coconut Cream in my recipes for many years. I have recently been informed that the Coconut Cream that I was told was processed under 118 degrees Fahrenheit, is actually now processed at 176 degrees Fahrenheit.
Following is the email I received from one of the… Continue

My wife and I have been going to the gym with simple goals; 10 pounds in 6 weeks and 20 pounds in 12 weeks. We did not set to high of goals due to the fact, we have never really do anything for ourselves...it has been for others. We have now put our focus on "US"! Our health and happiness is on us and only us!
Changing the way we eat and look at food..it is not something you stuff in your face in front of the TV a couple times a day. Eating RAW is something you need to take your time and plan ou… Continue
I reuse plastic bags till they're falling apart. I've gotten into the habit of always having a shopper or two with me or a rolled up plastic bag wherever I go.
Hmmm. I've had mine for at least 10 years. I don't know about everybody else, but I find them very convenient to use. The Chico bags that is ( an no, I'm not selling them) because I can fold them up into tiny balls and stick them into my purse. Th...
In the first stage, the diet is restricted to veggies, protein, and just a few grains (eaten in very small portions). Fermented foods and sea veggies are very integral to this diet, so it sounds like you might really like the diet.
Nothing sweet ...
