WildAlchemist Foraging in Fall

Blessings! As we head towards fall, it is a great idea to practice foraging for wild edibles in your area and storing them for winter. This can be done in many ways: *Spring water - this should be a priority. Spring water is an awesome way to connect to your local environment and allow your body to "receive" the vibrational imprint of the area & the Earth's energy. If you have not been able to find a spring in your area, send me a message and I may be able to guide you to a spring in your… Continue

junglegirl Confusion is Mostly Impatience

Confused about which path to take in the myriad of raw options? Confusion is mostly impatience. Allow yourself to remember that your Body will let you know what you need at the perfect pace - your pace - for integrating the massive cellular shift you are creating by embracing the truth of health. It doesn't necessarily happen overnight, because it's not a case of mind over matter, strictly speaking. Your emotions are involved, and integrating the new routine and your habitContinue

Michelle Davidson Feeling kinda Blue

I am not sure what is wrong, perhaps a need to change what I eat, how I sleep or perhaps how I receive stimuli? I can not think of any particular thing that is out of balance, per se, in my life but me inside. Are there foods or meditating methods that can help bring inner peace? Just putting this out there to see if anyone has any ideas on the topic. I am also wondering is perhaps this is normal for we humans and just maybe it is uncomfortable because everywhere we look we are bombarded by ad… Continue

livefoodexperience.com Raw Spirit East - Yay!

I was on the fence about attending Raw Spirit in Maryland this year... until they invited me to be a presenter. Actually I contacted them and they responded with an invite. I'll be doing a food demo on Saturday August 29th at 1pm... Yay! Now I just need to finish my recipe book and get a syndicated raw food travel/adventure show. All in due time. Continue

Madhava Ron Paul -"Raw News"... International Bailout Brings Us Closer to Economic Collapse..

Ron Paul June 24, 2009 Last week Congress passed the war supplemental appropriations bill. In an affront to all those who thought they voted for a peace candidate, the current president will be sending another $106 billion we don’t have to continue the bloodshed in Afghanistan and Iraq, without a hint of a plan to bring our troops home. We are buying nothing but evil and global oppression by sending your taxdollars to the IMF. Many of my colleagues who voted with me as I opposed every war su… Continue

s Feeling Really Good: Shh, keep it down!

What: silence. Why it makes you feel really good: because it's a total vacation from the noise and hustle of our lives and without vacations, we'd never get anything done! This weekend, set your alarm for 6 a.m. on Sunday morning. Get out of bed, out of the house, and go to the nearest par… Continue

courage2braw An excerpt from "Creating Peace By Being Peace" by Gabriel Cousins

When we have developed a mature feeling body, we are able to love without the feeling of controlling or being controlled. We are able to love out of choice and not need. This is not "love as a business deal," which involves subtle and not-so-subtle levels of co-dependency such as "You love me, and I love you," or "You give me what I want, and I give you what you want." Mature love means loving from a non causal source in which your personal love enhances the basic experience of love. If one iContinue

Rain Fordyce Listening to those Voices

Okay, I admit it! Sometimes, I doubt the universe will provide. As I continue to move forward and I do what I love, every once in a while a voice pops into my head that says, "You are living in a dream world! Life is not a dream and you have to be rational and practical." Do y… Continue

Kyrin What do Multiple Orgasms & Ghandi have in common?

This is not going to be a poem. It's more of a blog...

a statement....

a cry for peace, if you will.

All that to say that repetitive things have a tendency to make me ridiculously happy sometimes....

particularly numbers.

My mama's favorite numbers are 22:22.

I always make a wish at 1:11 or 11:11.

I was thinking about that and started wondering....

who would knock multiple orgasms, right?

Happy New Year everyone! I'm feeling good so far this year. I just finished doing Aaron Lankford's Energy Kickboxing Workout, which totally kicked my ass!! But I did the entire hour, and I'm really proud of myself for that. I've still gotta get my laundry started and make breakfast. Hmmm...grawnola and fresh cashew mylk, or kale salad?...decisions decisions... Oh, and I found an adorable little icon that belongs here:

Jennifer Raw Cacao, 8-1-1, coffee and other choices....

I'm one for the science of things. If I am doing something (eating, exercising etc.) I want to know why I choose it. I am well read on raw chocolate, coffee etc. I really do think that the term "superfood" is a coined phrase used to sell the latest craze to hit the shelf. Preferably I treat life, AND FOOD, with the respect and balance it deserves. Every time a new food comes to mass market toting its "superness" it can be expected that the preverbal pendulum will swing in the opposing direction.… Continue

livefoodexperience.com Shakti Life Kitchen is a raw reality!

In late November of 2007, when I heard about the possibility of a vegan live food restaurant opening in the beach community where I grew up, I was elated. And when I was approached to be the head chef at this prospective restaurant I almost sharted my board shorts... At the time I was going on 3 months as a volunteer chef/instructor in the vegan live food cafe at the Tree of Life in Patagonia, AZ.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
