One of the fears I encounter with people who are interested in joining my program is, that they can’t have something. What happens when emotions come up and they can’t have that comfort food? Those starches? That chocolate? or, whatever it is they crave?
Well, the difference between my program and weight loss diets is, there is no “can’t have”. What it will come down to is “want to have”.
One of the most exciting moments (whic… Continue

Last Monday night when training with my teacher and the group, I noticed that my teacher was looking like he'd gained some weight.
After class we were talking and he'd mentioned he'd gained back about 8-10 pounds.
He told me he realized it wasn't about the food; he'd not been doing his former habit of binging and throwing up BUT he was overeating. What he did realize, for himself was that it was about having the good. This makes sense because when we reach a certain level of good which is beyo… Continue

So, on sunday I had set out to juice until friday or sat. Was all determined..thought I was ready. I had gone and gotten what I thought was enough fruits and veggies to juice and started my juicing journey. Today is the 4th day... and I have decided to break it. There are many reasons at the moment. For one I was not as ready as I thought. I didn't have any supplements, no enema bag, and not enough variety of stuff to juice. It is day 4 and I still haven't poo'd. This morning I was going to try… Continue
Okay so here is the big question !!!!
do you think the eating of fats, coconut oils, avos, nuts, seeds every day is not helping me in losing weight. I guess on a normal cooked diet all that fat would definately not help im sure, but on a 100 percent plant based diet where one is exercising regularly and eating fruit veg and fats and algaes surely this cant make you put on weight. well I can say that I have ,and am so disappointed. I never turned to raw foods as a weight loss program it was purely… Continue

Hey Guys!! I have completed my 3 day fast. I have done really well. I lost 5.8lbs. Total 9 lbs in 2 weeks. I am now 180.2 lbs. WOOOOHOO!! I am totally excited about this weight loss. Finally I am doing something right. I will report back next Monday on week 3, 3 day juice fast. I will continue to fast, probably forever. I really love what it does for me. I will continue this fast. I will also progress to water fasting. I think I will do it in intervals. Like on and off. My ultimate goal with fas… Continue
Hey Guys! I hope everyone is doing great! I weighed in this morning at 182.6lbs!! This is amazing. One of the benefits of juicing is the instant gratification. I am very happy that this is going well for me. Yesterday, I have to admit was kinda hard for me. I kept having cravings for meat. I'm not sure why... But these cravings were very strong. Does anyone recall having these weird cravings during a fast? Last week was not so bad. The first day I was very tired towards the end, bu… Continue

Hey all!! I am back for another round of juice fasting., Today I weighed in at 186.2... I got anxious about it last night and have to admit I over ate. I have to remember that juice fasts are not like water fasts and that I will eat again.... LOL.. Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well. I will keep everyone posted on my progress. To the folks that are starting their fast's today, Good luck!! I'm cheering you all on!!!! Continue
I completed my 3day juice feast/fast with a weight loss of 7.2lbs. This is incredible. I almost didn't want to come off the fast. I feel really really good. I wake up in the morning with tons of energy and I'm never hungry. This fast has taught me that I do not have to be dependent on food like I was before. Sad, depressed, bored whatever the reason, I do not need to reach for food. I will continue to fast 3 days out of the week for as long as it takes to rid my body of excess body fat. This may… Continue
I'm sitting here eating one of Rawmazing's wonderful crepes and marveling at the last 4 days or so.
One thing that's amazing to me is how many people say to eliminate weight, cut out the fats. I don't know what fat they're talking about because I ate 4, count 'em 4 crepes last night and this morning I'm down another pound. When I went raw about 14 years ago, we really didn't have the resources that are available now so pretty much all we had wer… Continue

Last night part of the neighborhood got together for a local book signing. Pretty cool! It was held at Webster's Fine Stationers and we were all right by the door when folks came in.
I also had an opportunity to do smoozie demos. I didn't get a lot of action but some of the other authors did. People either knew them or had heard of them. No one knew me unless they were "friends" from Facebook. Was nice to meet the other authors, one I knew from… Continue

We vacated Sunday because the air here is so bad from the La Canada/Flintridge fire. The a.m.’s here are really rough because the marine layer presses the smoke down to the ground. The house still smells like a chimney and we really can’t go outside. Inside is very bad air even with fans and a/c.
My throat is hurting again. We were thinking of going back up to Big Bear but are hearing the smoke is traveling up there as well ~ from the Yucaipa f… Continue
Crap! Woke up this morning with mild headache, sore throat, stuffy nose and such. Got fires near us so, breathing smoke from two directions.
We saw the "Morris Fire" just as it was beginning on Tuesday when we came down from Big Bear Lake. The La Canada/Flintridge fire began yesterday afternoon. The first is only 10% contained; the second, about 20%. As long as the winds stay down, they should get a handle on them. The temps have been VERY high with very low humidity. I'd hate to be out there f… Continue

Ever get to that point where the scale just WONT move??? How frustrating is that? For tappers, here ya go ~ "Even though I'm often frustrated when looking at the scale, I choose to remain focused on my outcome".
Today, I got on the scale FULLY clothed and it was down to below where I was totally nekkid!!! YAHOOOOO!!

I'm not new to this site, but I haven't been very active on here either, so none of you may know me, however, I thought it was time for that to change! I truly desire to be healthy and live a long and happy life, but it's hard to do it without any support, so I thought I'd start blogging on here about my journey, in hopes that I can find some encouragement and accountability.
I weigh 242 pounds (The only person who I ever tell my weight to is my doctor, so this is a big step for me!). The heavi… Continue
Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found.
I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen.
Healing with whole foods is a great start..
I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports:
1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs
2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...
