Eden Green Juice is magical!

(The above pic isn't mine, I just love it for this post) When I got home, I ate an entire bar of organic 72% dark chocolate, and a small bowl of organic oatmeal with sunflower seed butter (i had mad cravings due to PMS). Then I sat down to do homework. As I got close to finishing, I s… Continue

Pedja Milosavljevic Green Living: Mineralization & Wild Edibles

Mother nature tends to provide us, the human animals, with a plethora of foods that grow around us naturally. Without complicating the preparation of these foods too much, I can say that I best enjoy eating them as they are. Of course, we now call those foods "Wild Edibles", because we've grown so accustomed to eating a diet consisting of domesticated plants. All the domesticated plats we eat today were once wild plants. Through selective growing, we've now turned prickly and bitter lettuce int… Continue

Jeff and Jess Dempsey Wild greens in your belly!

Jess and I woke up this morning and blended up a super high, green smoothie. What an incredible day starter! I went out back and picked some wild plantain and some wild dandelion leaves. I think this is one of the best things you can do, if you can just learn the art, you'll find it to be a magical source of nutrition. your really putting some amazing love into your body. This is a raw fooder secret. We were walking around the market and got some comments, one of the farmers actually said he wou… Continue

Amanda White 'Reeling and Writhing, of course, to begin with,' the Mock Turtle replied...

I'm eating up all the greens that were left over in my fridge. Somehow I misjudged last week and either didn't eat what I thought I would or bought too much. This emptying of fresh food is in lieu of doing a four or five day cleanse. I haven't decided yet. Probably, I'll just play it by ear. I want to refresh my body and my mind while I am trying to reevaluate my diet. Up to now it's been predominately fruits with a nice smattering of greens and some nuts and seeds. The information I've been get… Continue

Ann How can I keep greens last a long time?

It seems every time I buy lettuce (which makes me sick when I eat it anyhow), it turns brown the very next day. I have a family of 6 total and the kids just don't eat it quick enough to make it last. Celery lasts a little bit longer but never gets totally eaten before it gets bad. Lately my kids have really been fighting me tooth and nail about eating vegetables. I'm getting frustrated about cooking. I already hate cooking and it simply is not fun to be in the kitchen when nobody eats what I ma… Continue

Kate LaChapelle Day One!

So I decided that today was Day One. Edouard has left and while I miss him dearly I am very glad to have my life back. I decided that instead of starting off with just going raw, I am going to start with a juice feast. Yes, I realize that's all raw too, but idk, it feels different, plus it will give me the time to really get comfortable with ingredients and raw recipes and what not. I'm starting it off as a 30-day feast and if I like it, I will continue on to a 92-day feast. This morning wasn… Continue

Samantha I have a cooked body.....

But not for long!!! I have wanted to go completely raw for at least 9 years. I went raw 9 years ago, but I didn't stay that way long. This time I have more tools. I realize the need for dark green leafy veg. When I went raw before I was always so hungry, I was starving, but with the dark green leafy veg my body is nourished. I always knew they were there, but didn't understand the importance of them. Thank goodness for those videos I have seen outlining what is needed for true nourishment. I a… Continue
