Next thing u know I’m out on a date with an ‘RSVP’er’ having baked vegies in oil & salt. I remember him saying ‘hey but you only eat raw food don’t u?’ I was like ‘ Oh yeh um… occasionally I eat cooked food…’ & then & there I confirmed it to the universe… that cooked food was on the menu again...

Whew! This has been an amazing week or so. He came to me yesterday and asked what I was doing last evening. Well, I've got a teleclass, why? He said his throat was sore from breathing the smoke and would like to get out, get some fresh air, etc. Sure! We can do that. One great thing about doing teleclasses, they can be done ANYwhere!
So, we packed up necessities for the day and headed out. I had a meeting at 3 (by phone) and then the teleclass. Between the two, we were at the beach OR checking…

Yesterday, got up about 4:45 and was out the door by 5 a.m. Had done 8,759 steps by 7:12 so, IF my focus was on 10,000 steps, wouldn't take much more. Didn't go out walking again yet, what I did at home brought me to 10,455. Shows me I don't sit as much as I sometimes think I do.
This morning, thought I'd change up. Fitness is not just about cardio. It's about strength, balance, flexibility as well. I've got all the dvd's yet, one of my favorites is Turbo Jam. Went down to the sun-room, put on…

Awakened sore and tired this morning. Just did NOT feel to get out walking. Made all the excuses. Heard all the rationalizations ~ I can walk this evening when it cools down again, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I can yet, if ANYthing else pops up to do, I'll do THAT!
So! Got up, got on the 'puter for the mundane daily stuff, got dressed got out and WALKED! Fit or Fat??? My choice! Put in over 7,000 steps so far! The tapping has certainly helped make it easier. It's like, no matter what the monkey min…

Since I've been really looking at the Fat to Fit program, movement and working/playing with the "
Tap Into Your Ideal Weight" program, I've come to realize how "counting calories" really has very little to do with eliminating excess weight.
Yesterday, I read an online article from Time magazine on "Why Exercise Won't Make You This". Makes total sense to me.
One statement made in the article is, "... while it's true that exercise burns calories and that you must…

Heya,
At the start of the year I made a pact to myelf that I wanted to be an outdoor 'action' person.
You know what,
I stuck to it.
This was no new years reolution gone bad.
I am so hooked on this quest that I get terribly excited every time I find a new local activity.
It is my kind of exercise, no boring running for me (sorry runners :) )
This weekend I am learning to scuba dive woo hoo!
I hope I see a turtle.
What is your favourite outdoor adventure?
I would love to hear stories.
Take care…

It seems that one of our needs as a group of people, and also as individuals, is to create Heroes, Leaders, Gurus and Celebrities. At first, one may suppose that it is because of their personal greatness, the above human qualities that they possess. But deep down, I wonder if this need we have of hero worship, is to give us the feeling that we, may somehow have the possibility to become that which they are, ourselves...
Within all of us, it seems that there is an inkling, the idea that our live…

Im a surfer... Well, I mean that I can surf... Its just that I've have had kind of an on and off relationship with it.. It started when I was 12 getting pushed into some white water by a friend's dad on an old, beat up surfboard. 6 months later I quit, I then took what is considered a "step back" on the surfer's evolutionary scale, and I become a body boarder, before eventually, having the good sense to take it back up at the age of 16.
Since then, Ive had periods of 6-12 months at a time, surf…

I have a confession to make. I am a thought Junkie. I am
addicted to thinking. Seriously... My daily habit goes way beyond comprehension, especially my own, and I finding myself coming to terms with the fact that I am hopelessly out of control.
On a good day, most people dont even seem to notice. On a bad day, well.... I could be gone for hours. Daydreaming myself into perfect worlds of pristine forests, waterfalls, rainbows and butterflies, agonizing over how to make a million dollars o…

This is my second round with raw food. Yep, that's right, you heard it. I was raw for a year back in 2005. And I've been in and out to some extent since then. Im not sure how exactly the thought first came into my head, but i do remember having a strong awakening one day thinking that if i wanted to live a more natural life then it should probably start by eating in a more natural way, and what could be more natural than raw foods? By chance I happened to find a book about raw foods, hidden away…
