- Recent DC transplant who discovered Raw Food from an awesome internet show called Kung Food created by Luke Cummo.
I like yoga, rock climbing, and hanging out.
Since I moved to DC, my diet hasn't been what I'd like it to be. Hopefully I will be able to learn from the other members ways to implement raw food into my life in the city.
- How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
- Being part of a community is the best support. It's natural to synchronize with the group your in. You'll start to dress the same, talk the same, and you will feel obliged to eat the same. So if you want to stay raw, you will need to be part of a raw community.

Sauce Recipe:
2 tbls Olive Oil
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup sun dried tomato's
1/2 cup red pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp garlic
dash of salt

I'm serious, just go to the grocery store, buy all kinds of celery, kale, cucumbers, carrots, and whatever else you want, and juice is all and only drink juices for as long as you can!

my magic bullet burnt out, it was good for travelling while I had it though. Can you get a second hand blender? The cheaper ones I have used don't chop up the greens as well. Try to get something with a higher wattage, like 1000watt.

I'm surprised that there was any left to make an actual whole dessert... I kept "taste- testing" along the way- Effing Delicious!
I would love to come to that picnic but unfortunately my mom is in town so we are getting together before she departs, but THANKS for the invite!! Have a fun time!
Both of those ideas sound great, I'm up for either, or combine them for a happy hour brunch!! Though, the only farmers market that I am aware of is in Old Town alex... that or Eastern Market???
That's cool, the only other kind of yoga that I have done is I tried a Jivamukti class.. it was pretty good, I think it is some form of Ashtanga.
I started going regularly in January, so I haven't been doing it for too long ( I still suck at it)
That raw cheesecake sounds like it would taste good... do you have a specific recipe you wouldn't mind sharing??
A hiking/meditation group sounds awesome. I don't have a car (or $$ for that matter), but I've been planning to take a bus up there one of these weekends, as I have some friends in the area. I would definitely plan to meet up with you guys if I did.
As for Ayn Rand, from what I've heard of her beliefs, I don't think I would be so into her.
