If you question it, I suggest don't do it. It's something that usually comes along naturally or you have to trust yourself. Even more so, be in tune to yourself in regards to food. If you try and explain it by metabolism, etc., it kinda goes again...
Hey there Rick, that was FAST. Too bad you can't make it. I am not aware of any future potlucks as of yet but I do want to coordinate one and since Pure Intentions is practically right across the street, I might even take the initiative to organize one.
And what are you performing on Saturday by the way?
BTW, did you know there's a raw food potluck at the end of this week in Akron? It's at Pure Intentions, Inc. 1862 Akron Peninsula Road Akron, OH 44313 on Saturday at 6:30. Bring your own raw dish.
If you come, let me know so I can get to know you. I live in the apartment complex right near there.
p.s. once again where are you in Ohio? I forgot you were from there and now understand why you were asking how I was faring in Ohio on a raw food diet. How about yourself?
BTW, I'm going to follow you on Twitter, if I haven't already done so.
Hey there, thanks for asking if Akron is working out for me in the raw food world. It actually is, I'm very pleased and excited to say! We're in the thick of winter and except for cold hands, I am faring rather well on a substantially raw lifestyle.
Today is the first day of a 3 to 5 day juice feast and I'm thrilled to tell you that I'm doing great so far. I picked up this very interesting juicing book at Goodwill (of all places! I was there with a friend who goes there for her clothes - while she shopped, I looked through the books and was shocked to see a book on juicing there on the cheap!)
Haha, yeah, I know but I seem to be managing okay. The Mustard Seed is pretty close to me but they don't have everything I want like cacao beans (ever try raw chocolate?). But yesterday I was there and picked up some organic tomatoes and avadaco. Delicious!
Awesome, thanks. Have you been to the meetup in Cleveland? Pittsburgh is about an hour away from Akron, would you say? I'll have to check it out - thanks.
Checking localharvest.org for various local farms that produce organic stuff....just learning my way through here. Meanwhile, I've discovered Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, Wild Oats all in Beachwood, OH on Chagrin Blvd. But it's 30 miles each way for me. Fine once in a while but not every week, you know?

Hello everybody who commented on my post about 100% raw organic California Almonds. Some of you have been misled by bad information. A grower of California almonds has an exemption to sell UNTREATED, NON PASTEURIZED almonds at either Farmer's Mark...

This was an abnormally large organic pomegranate, but organic it was.
I am glad to see that people are excited about pomergranate as I am. I dont know what but I have been hammering them lately. it is the only food that I makes me feel better by the end of the day if I feel run down. here is my way to juice them. On...
