Are you a chef? This would be the first person to get work and earn back the portion of their room and board with work as clients confirm for these two weeks. I f you are not a chef (please be clear it will be a big job for the chef when full) then the next positions with earn back potential are assistant chef (fully guided by us and the featured chef) and we want to have body workers around too. They can sell them selves regardless of pecking order. House keeping is handled. So worst case scenario is you pay room and board for a top notch vacation package, classes , tours ,luxury accommodations , private beach, ect. For 100 dollars a day. Read the events page for all thats offered. There are two chefs contemplating these weeks so far and two assistants and one bodyworker. Your only risk is not working but once there is a commitment I assure you won't be bumped even for a client, if we are that full rooms are doubled up and earning begins. This is our first retreat as retreatslive . We all lived in Panama last year as part of a raw/fasting center working and sharing. We decided we could do it better and this is the one. Beth is down there full time Nat and I go back and forth doing raw food talks and demos around the west coast. We are all chefs , Nat is our most celebrated gourmet and has worked with Montel Williams , Annie Jubb and Juliano. My specialty is cleansing and body work and emotional clearing and Beth is creative in all aspects but really heads up our sustainable local connection and has a raw catering svc in Panama city. We are looking to create a community in Panama and the retreats are a way to bring like mind down and mix with local like mind. We are beginning to advertise to for two Canadian retreats this summer , Iceland and Bali and back to Panama our home base. I am working right now on the page that shows where a 10% tithe is coming from us from all who travel with us for reforestation projects and local fruit tree planting and help for the Octopi. I think it makes sense, I would pay to come stay and work, but if the retreat is filled, I would essentially get the money back?

I had meant to tell you that I am so happy to work in exchange for room and board, but if this is how you do it (and please tell me if i've followed you correctly!!). . . then that's pretty similar. . .

I agree that it sounds like a wonderful fit. . . for some reason it just intuitively seems. . . right.
and i tend to live my life guided by those feelings. . .
i'm sure you have lots of interest- anyone who sees the photos (oh shhhhh i should keep that quiet, right?!) would no doubt be clamoring to come stay!

I'm back home in Central NJ at the moment tending to some business and working through some pretty intense on-going detox. I'm hoping it wraps up by summer, or at least reduces a bit. Some time back in that bright Panamanian sun would do wonders I'm sure. How about you?
