About Me:
Bumped into raw foods while researching online to improve my health in early 2007. I keep "yo-yoing" with raw food and cooked food (vegetarian). Eventually i want to eat more raw foods. I envision myself feeding my body with nothing but raw foods. getting into raw foods has been a major turning point in my life. It paved way to make me more spiritually connected with myself, i feel more connected with mother nature. In my quest to live a holistic life i am interested to learn about different things that help me to grow spiritually.

I want to inspire others and in the process also get inspired from other people. The outside world is filled with too much materialistic trouble. how nice will it be if folks can stop for 1 minute and be still and enjoy everything surrounding them. be it the chirping birds, the stillness, the cool breeze, blue skies and the green trees. just getting a vision of that itself makes one content and at peace.

I believe in the "Karma effect". For every action be it good or bad there will be an equal effect resulting in good or bad Karma. And every person will be given an opportunity to decide how he turns the situation either good or bad. At times one persons good actions (good karma) can change the lives of many people. which means 1 person can also change the fate or karma for many people. It is up to that 1 person to decide which side of the karma that they will take. The more one is aware of this the more one gets closer to the truth "Good Karma leads to a peaceful, happy and content life".

I see every day and every situation as an opportunity to grow my self. At times i may fail but every time i succeed in controlling my negative emotions (which could potentially trigger further negative karma) I feel 1 step closer to being happy and content in life.

I practice and preach the "Karma effect" to others. This is my way of spreading love, peace and happiness to others. Even if one person gets influenced and starts to make a change in their life, it will trigger further good karma. It is like a ripple effect when you throw a stone into the water. And indirectly i get to play a part in that good karma as well :)
Imagine how beautiful life will be when everyone tries to be nice to each other where there is nothing but happiness. Wait a second isn't that what we call as ...... "Heaven"? ;)

Yes, I am quite fortunate to live in Hawai'i Nei. The challenge is going easy and breezy. I would like to see other start their own challenges. Maybe they are with the raw food diet and everything, just not openly declaring it as much.

My journey has kind of just 'happened' to me. The knowledge, the people, the information, the books, the courses, the experiences, the miracles... all have 'just' come to me.

When you find "a deep experience" in one place (as happened to me) everything else just shapes into whatever you need in your search. Seek and you shall find.

I think over 1.5 years of Sabbatical & moving back to India (from the US..Houston, TX.. I've also lived in Dallas..:) & went to SMU for studies), I now, know way more than most academicians.

I can offload that boat load on you but it would overpower & confused .. Lol!. Keep in touch and I'll direct you slowly :D.

I'd say watch this movie for starters - Peaceful Warrior. Watch it a couple of times and pause, rewind & ponder over things / lines that catch you. Then talk to me :).

PS: On "meditation, color therapy, energy and positive vibrations, intuition, mind reading etc" Too wide & too many dots to connect.

Hey....well I'm from hyderabad but I'm studying in Punjab at the moment(LOL dont ask). I'm in my 2nd yr of law. I was 17 when I discovered raw food. I was watching an interview with Alicia Silverstone where she explained how she different she looked and felt on the raw food diet.I decided to go online and do more research and one thing lead to another ....I've never been completely raw before but I always had 3 glasses of green smoothie everyday and ate a whole lot of fruit. Then I joint college here and didnt have access to any healthy food (cooked or uncooked) and began eating REAL CRAP 3+ times a day...(maggie , soft drinks ,chips) eeww...I guess my system was so clean then that It couldn't metabolise all the junk and I felt seriously ill...I broke out into pimples and lost a whole lot of hair. Since eating regular healthy home cooked food the pimples have gone but I still dont feel a 100% like I used to . And I guess after eating junk food like this It's really diffcult to go back to eating normally .(My roommmates cannot stomach a fresh healthy meal to this day).Anyway ....Now I want to go back to feeling like I used to so I'm jumping head first into a 30 day raw food trial

Hey Nimisha,
I find that whenever I take a high amount of greens and keep the fat low and fruit almost nil, my emotions and my mental clarity improve. Depression is a non issue, I naturally feel happy all the time. Negative events glide off of me like water of a duck's back. I don't hold on to them.
My mind is clear. I "see" through things easily. No fogginess. I know what is important to me and I go do it. If I increase the fruit then I feel more hyper and anxious; less grounded. Too much Fat (nuts) just weigh me down. Its worse than cooked food.

You wanna both snowboard and ski? You usually have to stick to one if you want to master it. Not saying you can't do both, but maybe wait until you got the hang of it before switching up.

My dog likes to sleep between my legs. Warm and I rather not speculate what's going through Mr. SS McCracken's head. Then again, he likes to sniff the cat's butt after using the litterbox :hurl:

One of my coworkers left a Little Debbie zebra cake for me for my b-day. I ate half and gave the other half to my husband. Sometimes I'm able to resist and some days (like now when Aunt Flo arrives) I nibble. The other day my husband made stovetop...

I love food as long as it's good. I love the fact my husband raised two turkeys for himself instead of being like his friends and buying the five dollar turkey at Walmart (yes there really is a five dollar turkey). My grandpa died at 103 and that'...
