Hello!! its actually great! i get any kind of local fruit in the "mercados" and super markets or free around the streets in my private neighborhood. People have a nice custom of growing fruital trees on their front yards and parks as scenery. At my house, we have Nogal trees at the entrance, apple trees in the front yard and citrus trees and palms at the back yard. From my balcony y see the palms and i smell the lemon trees. I remember grabbing small mangos from a neighbors front tree as a kid and going to my grandma´s to eat guayabas and grapefruits from her back yard. You will not find this in BIG cities in mexico but i feel lucky my city is still small and secure.
hey gurl!! nice to meet you. =D yes i luv costa rica - i've been there 3 times and going back pretty soon. so excited!! have you been there as well?? =D
heya! thanks for the response - and sorry for the delayed reply! my raw journey has been a rollercoaster ride, very tumultuous! it's been a challenge, no less. not because it's not the best way to eat, but because of having to battle with age-old, learned habits, emotionaly triggers, environmental and social factors, etc etc etc... and it's hardest for me when WINTER hits...so i'm really planning to lean on the good people on this site, and my local rawfood community this time around for round-the-clock support. when i first went raw in 2003, i fell offa the wagon HARD after the first winter hit. i think i should maybe move to California! lol (seriously, i'm planning to do so...yeah!!)
btw, I LOVE NEW YORK. used to live and work there. too bad the summers are grotesquely hot and humid, and the winters bitterly cold!! other than that...it's the best city ON THE PLANET! (why?) - cuz of the people!!!!!

I don't know any other raw vegans here. It's alright tho, I like cookin' for myself anyway.

You wanna both snowboard and ski? You usually have to stick to one if you want to master it. Not saying you can't do both, but maybe wait until you got the hang of it before switching up.
