I was building, designing and marketing websites for the past 8 years and recently decided to change my life. I want to work with people and build relationships in the real world and not be in a catatonic state, staring into a screen all day. Having always been in tune with my body, I knew I had to find something physical. I tried Bikram Yoga in January of 2008 and I fell in love immediately, not only with the practice, but more with the people. I am going to teacher training for 2 months beginning in September in Acapulco to become a Bikram Yoga Teacher. After that, I may attend school for nutrition, or decide to travel and teach yoga first. I am new to the Raw Food Diet because I have only recently heard about it, but feel I was always on this path, just didn't have anyone to talk to about it. The same goes for my spirituality. I am conscious, curious, simple, intelligent, loving, hardworking and I am trying to find similar people to build a network of friends in a culture that incubates the opposite qualities.

So, I ate some (too unripe) pineapple and it "ate" some of me. Sore lips, chapped mouth corners, slightly sensitive/swollen tongue. Anyone know of good remedies for these conditions? Was thinking I should avoid stretching and licking my lips, and ...

P.S. I have a hard time sleeping without some nightcap food too. I was addicted to bananas and almond butter before bed, but I'm trying to phase it out by freezing bananas in the morning and then making raw ice cream at night.
Banana peach coconut smoothie for breakfast, then
3 Collard wraps with spicy mango salsa, avocado, onion, cilantro, sprouts, and sauteed portabello mushroom. Amazing.
Now I'm contemplating dinner. Might treat myself to Que Seraw Seraw in Burlinga...
P.S. Yogi, When my body is in an unwanted condition like ill or overwhelmed I also ask it "What do you need to get well or fix that condition?" Watch closely for it's FIRST THOUGHT and don't invalidate it. Then do whatever you please of course-you...
hi stacey,
I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras.
Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
