I've been Vegan since 2007. I have been going more raw by the day & I feel great! I also have Lupus, and I've noticed that when I do incorporate more raw foods into my life, it's improved my health and has made me more in-tune with my body & the world around me.

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
Mangoes from the Philippines. I also have really appreciated anything & everything that Raw Chef Adam Lewis makes (at Nature's Pantry in Bellevue, WA). Everything is amazing & so flavorful. He makes it so easy to stay as raw as possible.
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
Reading EVERYTHING, traveling, art, movies, meditating, yoga, dancing, continuously learning, gardening, sustainable living, permaculture, skiing, hiking, camping, hanging w/daniel, my pets, family & friends, scootering, relaxing, enjoying life.

I totally understand your shy disposition. Although I am not, many of my close friends are. Opposites attract I suppose. I would be game to go to any of those places mentioned. I have not been to Thrive or Nature's Pantry, so those are my top picks. My current group of friends are not raw, but they are fabulous. :-) I am expanding my cirlcle to include living foods buddies to be able to do fun things together and support one another on the path.
Hi M, nice to meet another local in seattle. I am coming back on Feb. 13th and would love to get to gether for a meal or go to a meetup event together. The more the merrier right!?!

Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
