smoothies also make me feel quite heavy if i drink them too close to my run, so i usually just eat a piece of fruit or two. but that's not enough for a longer run... so i'm still experimenting.

Hi! How great that you are coming to Brazil! You will be amazed at how many different kinds of fruit there are! And they are safe to eat, just make sure you wash them well. Sometimes there are fruit stands in the street, where they sell fruit salad (usually doctored with loads of sugar and/or condensed milk) or fruit that you can choose and they'll cut it up and serve it for you. Some places are not too clean, so might want to avoid that and buy fruit to wash and cut up yourself, but overall just use common sense. Another tip is that when you go to a juice bar or anywhere for juice make sure you ask that no sugar or milk is added to the juice. Also ask whether the juice is from fresh fruit or "polpa", which means it will come from frozen fruit pulp. Tap water is not drinkable here, so unless you have acess to a filter, you have to buy mineral water (which you can buy in big 5 liter containers, or even in returnable 20 liters). I guess I answered everything - fell free to ask anything else you wish! I live near Recife, which is one of the largest cities of the northeast. Lots of nice beaches around here!
Hi Ola! I just wanted to send a (slightly generic) message to the ten of you who joined the raw body image group that I recently created. I really look forward to talking with all of you and really creating a community for support and guidance. The first thing I would like all of the members to do is to post a little “about me” under the thread I’ve started. This will be a little beyond your normal GI2MR profile and should let us all know a little more about the history of EDs in your life and what your biggest challenges and struggles have been and still are. I really think that will help us all to see each others’ perspectives and really set the foundation for having a strong community. Thanks for joining and I hope to hear from you soon!

Ever since I have changed my habits (ie. eating, working out, drinking water) I have noticed that my sleep has gotten better. I now sleep around 6 hours a night, no tossing and turning, just restful sleep. The amount surprises me, because before I...
