Orwell is Always Unpopular

I've been thinking a lot about perfection lately, and striving. And this quote is from the center of a longer work about Gandhi, and while I'm certainly not taking up the larger points of that argument (many of which I find utterly wrong), I do find some interest in the idea of attachment as necessary and human. "The essence of being human is that one does not seek perfecti… Continue

Monodiet Time!

I'm mired in the stress disaster of finals week (which as a graduate student instructor, means that i'm both writing huge papers AND correcting all of my students' work. yipes!), but sweet summer is right around the corner. So I feel it's time for a bit of a cleanse and I think a monodiet sounds pleasant enough to be relaxing and calming, but also effective.

I am sorry I have not got back to you for some time but what I meant by word choice was in daily conversation and writing of people close to me, I find it interesting to find unusual words and point it out to myself or others for fun. Words are the skin of the body of your reality, you should know about new words during daily experience. I hope you are well.

I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...

I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.

Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...

they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.

Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found. I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen. Healing with whole foods is a great start..
