Hey Kat. Sorry its taken me a while to see your message. I went to TOL for a week for just the standard week experience of it. But I got to talk to a lot of people that did the 3 month internship where they learned how to be a raw food chef and they all loved it. I think they still have that program. It looks amazing and TOL is such an amazing place and an amazing community.
Living Light was amazing!! There is no other raw food school to even consider. It's the best. I learned sooo much! It was a blast too. I hated the town but I like warm, sunny weather, not foggy and cold. I haven't been looking for work, I did it for me for now because I have cirrhosis. Anyways, it would be an incredible and wise investment!
sorry it's taken me so long to write back...i really should check this place out more often!!! congratulations on the new job though..where are you working? i'd love to come for a visit. thought it won't be until july as i am fasting in thailand right now. i see that you are juicing feasting..that's amazing. i do 2 week juice feasts between each season and once a year i do a one month full fast (no food at all) and i feel absolutely amazing afterwards. keep in touch
Congrats! That's amazing news. I definitely have been able to apply all that I learned. I've moved out of the cafe setting to travel, work on a recipe book and share the knowledge with others through classes. It's been wonderful.
Hey there, thank you so much for your kind words! I don't experience any criticism ? What i do experience is amazement, curiosity & praise...I think you will find the more faith you have in this lifestyle the more faith people have in it! When they start to see you glow they will gravitate towards you & try to find out what you are doing...rather than criticize :)
Hi Kat!
I can highly recommend the Living Light Institute as quite a few of my friends have been through there and loved it (very professional setup) and I also visited for a few days just to check it out. Whenever I get the money together, I would also like to go and do some training there.
As for me, have worked at raw retreats and restaurants in Thailand, USA and Australia and am looking to open my own little place in Melb soon. Follow your passion to make your career promoting raw foods somehow and you will be a success i'm sure!
Best of luck my dear!

Hi Kat, I highly recommend the LLC. I am quite culinary anyway, but the classes were very diverse in experince from chefs to at - home mommies! It was great! Blessings!
I am self employed, I have taught raw culinary classes from home and have been a featured guest chef at Whole Foods. I've also done some personal chef services. It's one of those thing, you're only successful when get out there and apply yourself :-)
It's so great to have you here, Loren. And we are fortunate to receive the benefits of your years of experience with fasting. All your posts are extremely helpful to me and I am tremendously appreciative of your willingness to participate here so ...
YUM! That looks sooooo good, I love sushi so much but haven't had it years, since I don't get the conventional stuff anymore ( I call them mercury rolls) and I'm too lazy to make something like this.....will you come over and make it for me, pleee...
There is a great fruit wholesaler in town, specializing in Local, organic fruit actually.
All I need is a few people, a car and one willing person to go up there with me at some unholy hour (they close at 9am) once a week and it's beautiful fruit ...
