It might! It really depends on what's ging on in your body.
Too many hot spices just to combat the coldness of raw can still imbalance you. My situation was this- I had major spleen qi deficiency, which raw made worse. Hot spices can build yang but not qi (think astragalus, ginseng for qi).
I also had yin deficiency. When you become yin deficient, hot spices overheat you (because you already have a relative yang/fire. imbalance) and they can dry you further. So, I'd still be cold all day and then be way too hot at night. The only way for me to build my spleen qi was to eat more (temperature) warm, dry foods. I added quinoa hot cereal, baked yams ad sprouted bread. It helped so much.

Hey John! Although raw people love to deny this fact, the truth of the matter is that raw can make you cold because it CREATES coldness in the body by the very nature of the energetics of the food! LOL!
I've been studying a lot of Chinese medicine and it's very clear that for many, 100% raw leads to some serious spleen qi deficiency. In other words, it can put out your digestive fire, which then leads to weak kidney yang and then you're cold all the time. Simple as that!

I did 100% last summer and it really worked against my acupuncture treatments. I finally figured out that I can's do all raw with the particular set of conditions I have. Over the winter I ate maybe 30% raw (and never cold food). Now I'm slowly upping my % but it will not be 100% again.
You just have to figure out what your unique constitution requires:)

Some of the best things one can do to stay raw in the beginning is to eat those yummy transitional foods we all love, go to eat raw (order whatever looks good), and join potlucks which are great for support and for making and trying different dishes. I will be sure to invite you to any potluck thats happening.
P.S. I guess I kinda do look like a young dylan...LOL
