greenless morning

i love reading recipe books. my favourite restaurant, Rebar, released a great one, not long after i moved out of my parents house and started cooking all the time. by now all the pages are dogeared or missing or shredded by my lovebird or splashed with some tasty concoction. i love the descriptions and suggestions for each recipe, and "braised winter greens", described as a great alternative to a salad in the winter, caught my eye. i fell in love from the first bite! kale had so m… Continue

wide mouth mason jars!

very exciting - i got a 12 pack of 1.5L wide mouth mason jars! they are HUGE


i have two with me today, one with green juice and one with a green smoothie - the colours are gorgeous.


it's extremly appealing to be able to carry a days worth of food in a couple mason jars.


my green smoothie contains 1 bunch of spinach, juice from 6 oranges and 2 bananas - very simple and very green tasting - YUM

hilarious, I just browsed your wide mouth mason jar blog and giggled to myself. I just bought one last week the says wide mouth mason- made in canada to add to my collection of plain ones. I am currently on day 17 of a juice feast. I would love to chat with you about your experience.
'truffles' is a cafe located inside an organic grocery store called 'eternal abundance' on commercial @ napier. If you are interested in hitting up the cafe for a chat let me know. :)
