3 days a week for your friends. That's a great idea. They will be able to compare how they feel.

Thanks.
I am reading 2 brian clements books (optimum and lifeforce). This is the theory I have needed the whole time. It is finally clicking. I am now trusting raw like never before. So is dad. He may just "watchfull wait" for 3 or 4 months and see if he can halt any growth. Things are changing fast.

thanks for the wishes Sheila...8^))...and yeah, my mom seems to be as good as can be expected now seeing she spent like nearly two weeks on the thing...she's up and rolling around now the best she can.

hey Sheila!

great to hear from you, i was thinking of you over the summer often...both for good reasons of wanting to know how it was all going for you...and also for some not so great reasons too...my mom basically spent two weeks in july on a respirator. so i was thinking of you at work when i talked to the therapists at the hospital she was at.

i hope it's all going well in your raw world! things are ok in mine...great with the raw part, fairly wild watching the other changes it brings about in my day to day life.

Hey, no worries. I hadn't thought of it that way. Your concern is very lovely though. Thanks.
Quick breakdown:
-Tested as early prostate cancer. Urologist is extremely confident in his methods. He will operate. i.e. cut out part or all of prostate and no chemo. An operation is not what I would do, but it's not gonna kill Dad and oncology is giving him the security he needs.
So my job is to lend nutrtional support i.e acid/alkaline balance etc etc.
Ordered 11 more titles off amazon to give us even more knowledge.
So a bit of incontinence is traded for oncological peace of mind and nutrition will be used to prevent further cancer. As you and I both know, oncology does not cure it. Cancer doesn't leave the body. It is simply a result of an unbalanced system.
So it is overall a compromise. Dad knows about people like Kris Carr as an example and Dr Thomas Lodi and Clements/Hippocrates Inst. etc and IPT etc etc, but, the decision is his and it'snot ideal, but either way, it's not going to kill him. So I do what I can to help, and that is a lot. e.g. Dad is up for colonics and more raw, (but not yoga yet lol). It's a journey for us both and as a family. Even my little sister adds raw to her diet (e.g smoothies/juices to school- which she was initially worried about being laughed at a little for, but it has actually gone the opposite way and everyone wants to know more and more and thinks she has become even cooler).
My focus also personally is not just on RAW now. I am trying to build a nutrition library that is open to everything. Raw vegan is obviously the cutting edge and the best for dads "state of health crisis", so to speak, but I am re-reading Berhard Jensen and the origianl nutritionist I saw years ago and actually discovering the commonalities they have with raw as it is now. So in time I will look a macro, iervada (spely wrong), etc etc etc. Everyone perspective has something to offer for at least to see common threads and also contrasts which help to put all into perspective and further galvanise the trememdous knowledge of Raw for example.
New books dvds being shipped are things from
Ann Wigmore - wheatgrass, sprouts, blending, The Hippocrates Diet and Health Program
Clements - hippocrates life force, Living Foods for Optimum Health
Kris Carr- Crazy sexy cancer doco
T Colin Campbell - the china study
Gerson
Mike andersons Healing Cancer from the inside out
Also the raw for life dvd for general raw inspiration.

Yes some of this will give detail that will contradict dads current mixed decision, but I have outlined so much of the above info from their websites And youtube vids to dad etc, but they will also give more nutrtiuon tools (i.e we will grow wheatgrass etc). Regardless his surgery, this info is needed., not as a "told you so" but as more tools in our basket.

So you can see the current focus for dads nutrition. e.g wigmore/clements/campbell etc etc, but my earlier idea about me also looking at all / varied knowledge still stands.

Wow- I think I have rattled on a lot here. No spell check woopps. Thanks for listening.
Hope all is well with you.

Thanks for asking.
I was only thinking of you the other day, and your kind words.
We are not going too bad.
Dad has decided to do a mix of oncology and alternative.
He has a lot of green juices and salads and does his best with what he eats.
We all tested our PH the other day. We are all acidic, but Dad is at least giving it a shot. He always looks good of course as prostate cancer really has little effects and it is slow. Despite this, Dad wants the accurate diagnosis of a biopsy, which he is having on tuesday.
It lets the genie out of the bottle and is a real catch 22. He will know for sure, but with the heightened risks of mestasisizing, it will be a raise in the stakes.
We are all positive, and will play this bit by bit.
His PSA tests are always very low, which is good.
I hope all is well with you and I can see you are now growing wheatgrass. Good stuff. It has been in our plan, but just not eventuated yet, But soon though.
