I love Biotique products! I can find some of the products here in the States, but some I order from India. Their kajal is the best I've tried. Their shampoos are great, I really like the Green Apple one. If you're looking for a conditioner in thei...
Abhi, do you get Nature's Botanical Organic shampoo there? its a good one.
And there are Biotique products everywhere. they have men's styling gel too. you could try them. they are a good one!

I'd like to have slightly textured / matte messed up look. Typically when I get out of the shower and just brush my hair around with my fingers i get it right. But once it dries up it all becomes one.
How can I best maintain that look with a "non...
Me too! I live in "SoHa," across Morningside Park from Morningside Heights. I went to Raw Soul once - loved the food, but when they told me that their bathroom was in the Dunkin Donuts down the street...meh? But I'd totally go there again, would j...
I'm moving deeper and deeper into a huge crunchification! First raw food - about 80% raw for almost a year now - now raw skin care - hope my roommate isn't eating the honey in the shower - what next?
I just moved to SoHa (that's South Harlem, tell your friends...) because in September I'll be starting a Masters in TESOL at the Columbia Teachers College.

Hey,
Just wanted to chekc-in and say hi. I'm sorry it'sbeen so long, I guess both of us are good at vanishing at times :)
Life's ust been crazy. I soent the first 2 weeks back at school looking for a part time job while planning my cousin's bachelorette party, dealing with an insane school schedule (19 credits,) and trying to figure out ow to make it to my brother's wedding and my couisn's wedding when both are on the same night, a 9 hour busride aapart. Neeless to say it didn't work. Long story on why they're so close together. Basic deal, two sides of the family that don't talk to each other, combned with one stressed-out step-sister/cousin/bridesmaid who was half ready to hop on a 9 hr. bus sitll in her bridesmaid's dress :)
Anyway, thgs are calmer now. I found a job, I'm pretty much back in the rythm of school, bachelorette party was a huge success, wedding's bext weekend so all I have left is last minute stuff, and I just found a great idea for a raw dessert to bring instead of the ice cream cake for dessert :)
Luckily I'm also lactose-intolerant so there's no need to expalin raw to explain why I can't have ice cream cake. Just give my stuff to the caterers and we;re set. How about you? How are things going? How's the ESL stuff going? How about the raw life? Things in general?
Hi callmebecca,
i was just reading your profile and was interested to know what no raw skin care you use?? honey is that for cleansing?
Im all for Natural products i havent used shampoo for a year or more now, but i havent found a cleanser thats simple and natural so if you can point me in the right direction here i would be so thankful.
No worries, I've been a little MIA myself. My mom's side of the family was in town and they tend to be a little...demanding, so I've been tied-up too. Then I went to Lexington for a couple days to see one of my friends. Anyway, how was the trip to New Haven? Wyhat are you up to fro here? When does the ESL stuff start?
I'm headed back to Vermont in a few days and really, really excited. My dad and stepmom volunteered to come up with me and help me move my stuff from storage to the dorm whci will be great. One of my roommates is also coing back the day before I do so I won't be living in the suite alon for the whole wee which will be good. My niee's birthday is also comig up. She turns 7 o Sunday but we're celebrating it on Saturday. I'm really, really excited. I missed my nephew's birthday being in Mexico so I'm gla to be here for hers. I'm just hoping the weather stays good It's supposed to be at the local park but we also live in New England, so who knows :)
Def. when you have a chance I('d love to heear how thigs have been going for you.
O.K., sorry for the brain blank. I kinda figured rom the pics. and the date that you may have already been to Peru. Sorry about that. It is tough in that area though.I ran into the same in Mexico, as I mentioned. I stayed vegetarian donw there as well and originally scrapped the vegan idea, untill I realized I was lactose intolerant...the hard way. That was the end of that and I went straight back. Luckily that was near the end of the trip so it was pretty easy to hide the change.
What did you think of Tel Aviv? What is it lke there? People? Community? Culture? Way of life? Japan would be fantastic. I have friends there and from what they've told me, as well as what I've seen in pictures that woul be an amazing option. The plane ticket would be 100% worth it and t wuld be easier to stay raw there than many places. Much of thier diet is vegan (miinus the fish,) so you're most of the way there already. You are right though, who knows what you'll be thikig in 2 years. At the beinning of school I wanted to be an English major then last yar I took an anthro class after some of my friends told me about it and 2 months into the class I was a declared major. Never regretted it either :)
Yeah, I am coming up on my last year of school. In Spetember actually. It's been a long-haul and I can't beleive it's finally here. I'm excited but freaked as can be about where I'll go from here. As I said, I'm hoping for Jesuit Corps or Americorps but I'm really not sure i it will work. Crossing fingers and hoping :)
Oh, I hear ya. That's what I'd be doing if I got certified is using it to travel. I'm planning to do international community service work when I graduate but yeah, if I got certified thast's what I'd do too. I'd really like to work Asia, especially China, Nepal, and Tibet, and evntually end out in Germany or Denmark but who knoes. Anywhere particular yo're hoping to do ESL work?
Hey,
Thanks for adding me as a friend. Good luck with the Manchu Picchu hike. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. I was in Mexico for 5 months and staying veg./vegan down there was a challenge so this will be interesting. Def. let me know how it goes.
since I find no reason to believe in 'allergies' against 'natural' appropriate stuff, I would think it's more likely just the fact that pineapple if bought in store is pretty much always unripe. Not that it matters to the situation perhaps.
...but...
Nicolas have you ever had a pineapple that does not give symptoms. In my experience around these hoods where we are there are practically no ripe pineapples..or perhaps a few dunno
Yes ma'am. Resting as completely as possible with eyes closed; getting enough water; avoiding too much sun; avoiding toxic substances (personal care products, cleaning products, etc.)
I enjoy writing about the deepest darkest secrets of my heart, about things I dont want to share with anyone..or lack the guts to share. Love letters mostly, but not always. If I have a dream I want to remember Ill write it down.
Come on woman! No time like the present! We may now have one more spot for our March 20 to May 22 internship session; this is truly a life-changing program and an amazing bargain...
Thanks Priyam! You are very kind and generous with your appreciation, and I appreciate the specificity. I agree with you completely that fasting is generally very poorly understood, mostly feared, and almost always avoided.

Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
