24 hour juice feast

So I decided to do a 24 hour juice feast. I had already started it unintentionally by making a melon juice 4pm monday and then drinking Kombucha all night and not eating. I wanted to see if I could do a full 24 hours. I am notoriously bad at fasting so I was very forgiving with myself. here's how the day panned out today:

woke up, had juice of 3 oranges.

11am had green juice (which was actually made in the blender and strained)

1pm more of the green juice

3pm melon juice

(kombucha tea some… Continue

great day to be raw

today i tested myself physically and i succeeded. i felt a lot of energy. i walked (hiked really) down to the farmer's market with one of my dogs. we got a whole bunch of greens and lettuce and some tomatoes from the early greenhouse grower. it was a good hike up those hills.

later today we worked on getting some supplies for the worm bin. we are going to make one so we can put some compost into it. plus, worms are really cool and i want to do it with my students next year.

but… Continue

The food looks yummy!
I checked out your
"faces of my health" video and it was so inspiring!
You can really see how healthy you look and it just really motivated me to do my best to go really high raw and if I can 100%.
Thanks for posting the video and letting us see the journey.
And I'm going to check out the yoga video too.

It's sad how the modern medical community (at least my experience of it) doesn't bother to draw correlations btw gluten and depression...ir if they do, it's not communicated to patients as an option. I would have traded my years of pasta and drugs for a healthier way of eating and some insightful therapy!

eww eww eww! bacon cheeseburger!!! AHHH! haha, i used to be a big meat eater....but the thought of a cheeseburger to me now is just plain repulsive. i'm almost gagging just typing this! hahahaha

i do think vegan is the way to go while transitioning to raw...i consider myself 50/50 right now (cookedvegan/raw)...it seems to be a good balance for me right now. but i am still striving to be more raw each day. it's fun! :)
thanks for your comment.
p.s. you look faaaaaaaabulous! :)

Hmmm. I've had mine for at least 10 years. I don't know about everybody else, but I find them very convenient to use. The Chico bags that is ( an no, I'm not selling them) because I can fold them up into tiny balls and stick them into my purse. Th...

In the first stage, the diet is restricted to veggies, protein, and just a few grains (eaten in very small portions). Fermented foods and sea veggies are very integral to this diet, so it sounds like you might really like the diet. Nothing sweet ...

What do you eat in the first stage? I really think I am going to try and get this book because I always crave fermented, savory foods and sea veggies. Do you eat animal protein?

This is great information! Now, if I can only get my grandmother to eat raw parsley. Next round of shopping I'll have to grab some.
