6 month anniversary!

I realized a few minutes ago that today is my 6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY of my RAW FOOD JOURNEY!!!

Man, it has been an unbelievable 6 months! I am so thankful for raw foods!

Before this journey, I was living on foods that were far from optimal. Not only did I eat cooked (dead) food, but I ate some of the worst kinds. I had a mighty sweet tooth, which attracted me to processed sweets. I ate more icecream than you could ever imagine... icecream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm not making this up,… Continue

books books books

I just bought 2 books online:

-Conscious Eating by Gabriel Cousins

-The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas N. Graham

I am very excited, for this is another huge step in the raw food lifestyle for me: get EDUCATED!

If anyone has anything to say about those two books or any other books I should look into, please leave a comment!

I just got 6 fresh durian in the mail today from the big island. I enjoy eating durian with zucchini. I may be able to dry some jackfruit and send it to you. The last Jackfruit I had was 40 pounds. It was given to me for free! I had soo much I needed to dry some and juice some. The juice was fantastic! The fruit you mentioned may be the Chocolate Sapote. Everyone is raving about it. I had to go and get some. I cut one open too soon, so it didn't really taste that good. It has to be very, very soft to be ripe. I am still trying to get a good one. There are different varieties too. When I figure it out I will post it on My Page.

Hey hey, I don't even bother looking at what I get because if im enough eating fruits and greens then im getting enough, there isn't even a medical term for protein deficiency so don't worry! Eating lowfat 811 is going to ensure you get all the nutrients you need :-)) What program are u using?

Bloody Hell Badash, 23g/day? that is seriously low. How much do you weigh? You need at least 0.8grams per kilo of body weight. You need to make sure you get not only enough protein each day, but also enough individual amino acids. If you get enough total protein you are probably getting almost enough individual amino acids but many people undereat on 1 or more amino acids, especially methionine. Methionine should be 10mg per kg body weight.

You also need to make sure you get enough zinc in your diet which is essential for building and maintaining cells including your bodys enzymes which are proteins. You need 9-15mg as a female.

This is why I stressed at the time when I gave you my recommendations, absolutely every piece of that recommendation was essential. Dropping a few celery sticks or a head of lettuce here or there or some seeds, will make a MASSIVE difference nutritionally. Massive.

I suggest you play around on nutritiondata.com or cronometer so you can see this for yourself. :o)

Romaine lettuce and celery contain lots of protein if consumed in large enough amounts. You probably need at least 1kg romaine per day plus 20 sticks of celery per day. Nuts and seeds can also be helpful.

Its really important you make sure you plan your diet well Badash. EFA's, minerals, vitamins and amino acids all come together. If you undereat on foods consuming some, you undereat on them all!!

Good luck!

Take care

Hi Badash,
you get Chocolate Sapotes in Florida.
I think people have tried to grow them in California, but without much success. They like at best a sub-tropical climate.
They are such a 'building' fruit, yet low fat. I feel that all the Sapotes are great fruits for nutrients and energy.
Have a peachy one,
love and peace XX.

I would not call this instict. I expect this behaviour is part of chimp culture, i.e. passed on from the older generation to the younger by example. Those tribes that don't exhibit dentistry probably reproduce less well.

That's right, but I don't think this is an inherited trait. I believe it is a developmental problem. In Weston Price's book, dental abnormalities occurred on the first generation exposed to processed Western foods.

and wouldn't it be funny if by waiting to see this feminine levitation that it turned out that the concept of ground underneath, and its spatial relation to the universe in general, was a completely fictional creation? I mean...just sayin' ya know...
