Thanks, Judy! Those recipes are courtesy of my lovely sister. I need to post some of my own- she's leaving me in the dust;)

Hi Judi,

Wow you are so open and honest, I'm going to continue with my raw blog as I'd dropped it. My friend also has fibro and she will not go the raw foods way so I'm glad you have the courage to. i'll continue to follow your journey as I'm trying to transition to totally raw too. It will be a great journey

Hi Aprilsun! I went raw 3 weeks ago in hopes of curing hypothyroidism and all of it's related ailments (hormone imbalances, fatigue, adrenal problems, anemia, etc.) I'd love to keep in touch and share info/progress:) A lot of the things you're dealing with are actually just symptoms of the hypothyroid- the fibro, anxiety, sleep disorders, depression, possibly the endometriosis and maybe some of the skin stuff, too. I find it helps to know that they're connected and not just a bunch of separate ailments. Makes you feel like it's more possible to heal!

Hi! It is such a challenge to stay raw, isn't it? I'm glad to meet you, and perhaps we can support each other to get on with this... :) Have a great day!

My psoriasis did begin to go away, still there in many places although I was noticing a huge improvement every day. Then I opened my office and have been so busy that I really lapsed on my diet and have been eating like crap again. Not meat or anything, but not as much raw, and they got worse again. I've decided to work on detoxing myself again beginning next week and we'll so what happens from there. Sorry I don't have better news.

I've been juice feasting since the 1st and I don't crave any SAD foods anymore. I smell it and it either makes me sick most times (except for curry I'll never get sick of that smell). now well I feel like chewing i crave lettuce and cayenne or avocado smoothies or coconut meat. Funny thing when i have it in front of me..i take a bite but I just can't go through with it. my mind is not willing to stop feasting. This is the coolest thing I have ever experienced!

About Me:
My name is Judi and I am happily married and the mother of two wonderful children. I am 42 years old and live in Connecticut. I have been suffering with several illnesses for many years to the point where the quality of my life is drastically reduced. It all started age 19 when I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. At age 22 I was diagnosed with hypothyroid and irritable bowel syndrome and at age 29 with fibromyalgia. Since then I have also been diagnosed with; endometriosis, skin cancer, restless leg syndrome, tinnitus, sleep disorders, chronic ear infections, eczema, severe scalp psoriasis, chronic depression, and anxiety. This is not what I want for my life. I now have a strong inner knowing that most, if not all, of my illnesses are related to the food I've been eating for my entire life (the standard American diet). I now am making it my mission to cure myself using raw/live foods and to finally live the life that I am meant to live.

Food Addiction...Abandonment Issues... Revelation

Some of you may remember that I had a big argument with my husband last
Sunday night. Couples argue all the time, not a big deal right? Not
really... except that since my husband and I recommitted ourselves,
last year, to making this marriage work, we rarely have very big
arguments anymore. You may also remember that in a previous journal
entry, I was not going to let him or our argument break my focus or
upset me. Well, by yesterday’s journal entry you can see that I failed
miserably with that… Continue

Raw Burritos... Yum!!!

I made a wonderful raw recipe the other night. Raw Burritos with Mole Sauce. I found this recipe on Kevin Gianni's, Health Renegade Show. The recipe itself was a little bit time consuming, but probably
no longer than had I made cooked burritos. They were really very good
except that I added a little too much Nama Shoyu, so it was a little
salty for my taste. I'll include the recipe below:

In other news... I've decided, as part of my plan, to start everyday with a
green smoothie for… Continue

A little thing called FEAR

Since I announced, the other day, that I have set a date to begin my
healing journey using green smoothies and juices, I have been feeling a
bit anxious, fearful if you will. When this happens the first thought
in my mind is, "stop that, that is negative thinking, don't do that."
What I am realizing is that by pushing these thoughts out of my mind I
am denying myself a closer look at what is really going on with me. I
think that this type of thinking comes from a childhood where I learned
to nev… Continue

A plan for healing...

Wow! Already Tuesday?

We had a busy weekend. We went to Cape Cod to visit my Aunt whose husband (my Uncle Frank) died in a tragic drowning accident in Aruba last month. She is doing really very well, considering. She is an amazingly strong woman. She gave my husband
Frank's gold bracelet that he bought four years ago when we were in
Aruba with them. My husband had tears in his eyes when she handed it to
him. I know how much my husband loved Frank and how much it means to
him to have the brace

hi stacey, I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras. Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
