What a total cAnSeR rawker. She came to see my new home and brought a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies. We made roti skins, curry mangoes,etc. I had not seen her since July. Given that I've not posted in a while, I have quite a tale to tell. I'll have to tell it in pieces otherwise this blog post will be a hundred miles long.

I was thinking about my journey to long lasting health tonight by catching up on all my health blogs. I wrote this bit on another blog:

My nerves were so fried wondering whether my mother was going to die from cancer and well 2008 was the nightmare of my life. I knew I had to do whatever I had to do to survive. Instead of waiting tomorrow to start my glorious return to the world of fitness and healthy eating, I decided to get up and get out for a walk tonight. I 'm also starting to lock my hair while it is still short. This day could have ended different. I started out having just two dollars to buy food for a whole day, depressed, upset and now I feel better. I'm relaxing.

The next twenty one days I am committing to do everyday:

30 minute walk

Okay it's been a while since I posted. Since I posted, my mother was diagnosed with stage IV appendix cancer, a very very VERY rare cancer and I labored with her through the months till her surgery. She's now beginning to get her appetite back and her doctor said if it wasn't for her protein shakes, juicing and vitamins she would have not made it through the 15.5 hour surgery.
