fortunately and unfortunetely i just got off of a juice fast (which was my transition into this lifestyle)....so my teeth are great but I haven't had many of the treats yet. ha! i am getting certified right now at kane school, i am sort of doing an apprenticeship at sal anthony's. i hope to teach privately though when i am all done. i see you like pilates! where do you take??
hey! Its working out great... They have all the dairy products you can think of. Heavy cream, Kefir, Yogurt, Cheese, milk etc I also went paleo about 3 weeks ago.
awesoMe! I tried raw meat about a year ago, then stopped. Now I am doing it the right way. How often do you eat meat? Aajonus is pretty extreme. Moslt vegetable juices, a huge amount of raw fat, honey and almost no water. I am looking toward to trying raw mill though. Finally found a co-op. How long have you been raw?
Hey! Aajonus's potlocks are only on the west coast. He is having a seminar in May which i will be sure to attend. I just joined a Raw milk Co-op through Weston Price's foundation. I am sure i will find a few people there! Do you eat raw meat?
Well, that settles it. I HATE onions. Really hate. So this explains why my first experience with Durian (at Bonobo's -- the ice cream) really freaked me out. I may have to just surrender to not being the biggest fan.
Thankfully, there are so many other raw foods to love! Fruit, avocados, and young coconuts, which I used to buy in Chinatown, too, until I realized that hauling them uptown was too annoying.
I'm trying to volunteer more often (this is really tough for me, with work) and would love to see a link. I don't hear about too many other Gena's! I'm actually pronounced like Jen-na. It's short for Eugenia, which isn't Russian, but you're close: I'm half Greek. Same church.
Hey Vlad! Welcome to GI2MR! Where do you volunteer? And tell me more about Durians -- I tried them once and was a bit scared, but want to revisit them.
I'm in Greenpoint. I'm across from McGolrick Park. I've found LifeThyme grocery, so I'm excited about that. Integral Yoga's grocery is close too. I've done my research!! I never tested out for Pilates due to scheduling SNAFUs, but I did 2 of 4 weekends with Kevin Bowen & Michelle Larson in Miami. They've since broken it down into certifying at each level, I think. I'm able to teach at an Intermediate level. The yoga certification and the massage license more than covered me as far as qualifications go. I taught at both gyms and yoga/Pilates studios. I'm a bit rusty with the Pilates as of late. At which gym do you teach? I haven't done any since I moved here. It's been all yoga.
No, I'm currently just attending school. I needed a semester to get the hang of grad school, NYC, etc. It's been a crazy 5 months!! I'm just getting into the raw foods thing myself. Started the "green smoothie" once a day thing today. Sooo delicious. Trying to not "cook" only raw desserts is a HUGE challenge. So is not gorging on nuts and dried figs. Thanks for saying, "Hi," keep in touch. :)
So adorable! Loved the outtake at the end :P I have a sheltie and a fennec fox, and my dog seems to have taught my fox to bark and they both run around tormenting my two cats :P
Oh my sweetness...birds are amazing. Actually all animals are ;) Anyone can communicate with them, you just have to learn their language! All animals talk to us we just don't realize it ;) Animals are VERY emotional. They laugh, cry and mourn just...
We will be teaching an incredible Cosmetics Making class next Spring near Philadelphia. I have a special guest coming from England. Using all natural and organic products. I have not decided yet. I'm looking for a really cool location now. This is...
