I prefer free potlucks, but I understand charging $2-3, if the potluck is listed as a Meet Up from Meetup.com since it costs the person who has the Meetup listing $15 a month. That is why I have my raw food group (and potluck) mailing list to be o...

Dear Viveca, Hello thanks for writing me. No there are no raw foods places here but there are raw food people although they are few. I would love to open one for cancer people...Anyway I love Melbourne...FLOWER
I would take the train/bus the 1st day and see if there is anyone to car pool. It's a little hike from where your staying to the institute, but people there are friendly and I'm sure there's someone local who can help. I understand about driving in Atlanta, but if you know the back roads, it's not too bad. Can't wait to hear about your transformation and experience! -Edie
It's too bad you don't have a car, marta is atlanta is not fun. Perhaps you can reach out to living foods and see if there is anyone in attendance to that same class that can carpool with you...
Lucky you - what a nice friend!
That would mean your graduation is on that Sunday, the 15th. I will try and rally some gitmr folks to come with me so we can all share in the excitement!
Viveca - Why aren't you going to Hippocrates in West Palm Beach instead of living foods in atlanta? Not that I want to detract you from coming here, but I recently took a class @ Hippocrates in December and loved it! You will like Living Foods as well. Brenda is a great soul. Let me know when your class is, I would love to attend your graduation!
Hehe, oh yes now I remember! You wouldn't believe how many inspections are involved when you take over a business in Lake Worth! Hopefully next time there will be no firemen around distracting me.
Yes, we are lucky to have Claudio - he is very professional and our mouths are all watering in eager anticipation of all his new dishes :-)
Yes, that's true - Claudio Hall took over as our Cafe Manager a few weeks ago. He comes with an excellent resume, with training at Hippocrates, the Florida Culinary Institute, and the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in California. Don't worry - we will be keeping the Soma favorites, but he also has some exciting new recipes. I'm sure you'll agree his food tastes great. Hope to see you around.
You look familiar actually - I think I have seen you in the cafe. I'll be sure to say 'hi' next time I see you! Oh, and we still have a couple places left f or the Raw Food Thanksgiving this Saturday - I can reserve them for you if you like, so they don't get taken?
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
Yes, I believe two out of the four pineapples I've had the last several months have been alright with me, after having let them "ripen" for some days. The one that turned out the best was one I stored in a bag of ripening bananas. I did the same t...
I tried using a machete type thing but only managed a small slit, finally got all the juice out only to drink it in 2 seconds flat...please tell me theres an easier way

ENEMA / INTERNAL BATH (wrongly called Colonics)
Although we eschew the use of internal ‘bowel cleansing’ - there
are times when the ‘internal bath’ is indicated - such as when the
