We make a toner based upon the same ingredients - rosewater with just a dash of sandalwood, rose and frangipani essential oils. It is a blend that is SO delicious we use it in our Essential range of living Skin Foods from moisturisers to deodorant...
mmm for me it's sandalwood (austrocaledonicum variety is sustainable and available as organic now) then vanilla, pettigrain and orange. But you got to enjoy how you smell, and keep it sublte. Most likely to turn me off is someone who reeks of afte...
I've been living on 100% raw food now for nearly 7 years - time flies when your having fun! As a homoeopath and nutritionist I have been professionally involved with healthcare for 17 years, all 17 of which I have enjoyed a vegetarian and vegan diet. My understanding of what is health has taken many a diverse twist and turn over the years - expanding with my own personal journey of conscious awareness. I'm now a firm believer that the starting line for health begins with Raw, every day from that point is a conscious journey into a soul-fulfiling life fruitful with creativity and love.

Life is beautiful and has much to offer. You can savour life in so many wonderful and different ways. Do you savour what enters your mouth, distinguishing the different flavours, textures, temperatures, colours and energies of what you eat and drink and inhale? Do you hear the bugs singing, the birds carresing the plants with their voices, the leaves in the trees singing with the wind? Life is to be lived, experienced and loved for the gift it is. Nothing is more precious than this moment, so do not let it slip away unnoticed. As you savour its richness, you might just discover the real meaning of life.' - KC (cat)

hey!
Thanks so much for your reply, you have confirmed what i've heard from many people and what i instinctively feel is the best way to do raw...greens in large quantities and fruit in small quantities.
I hope you had a good time in London, if you didn't this visit, on your next be sure to check out Inspiral Lounge in Camden, Dragonfly Wholefoods in Highgate, and Saf in Old St! Three great raw cafes.

Hey Vicki,
Glad to hear all is well with you and Ian....Bet it is cold there now...thankfully you have heaters now too! I bet you can't wait for the country fair.....good luck with your skin foods!!! Just think, you'll get to chat away about them to all sorts of people....what fun!! We are both fine....had a month off so went back to our house in South West France to see family and friends which was great but really really difficult to accustom our raw ways to the French family members.....heard alot of ''she is already too skinny, she needs a good meal inside her....'' you know how it goes....the French (elderly) just can't and won't get their heads around it.....sooooo, in that sense, it is good to be back in the S/E again ....working but at home in our usual raw routine which i now appreciate even more :-) Hubby is not as raw as me still but at least he is healthier than he was. How's your garden now....a bit sparce in the winter months? I hope all goes well in Glasgow Vicky!! have fun and enjoy!!
gros bisous

Hi Vicky,
Yep, most of those photos were taken in and around France (with some exceptions, ie Malibu pier). Thanks for the kind words.
I have only just begun this amazing raw adventure (just coming into my 3rd week) and I am loving every minute of it's gift. I have ventured out to restos a few times and amazingly i have managed to successfully and enjoyably have great raw meals. I must admit, i haven't mentioned the word raw much to the french so far......but i am amazed to see how many raw options (with a little tweeking here and there) are mad available now ( i am almost positive this is not done for the love of raw people but more for the fashion of healthy eating etc.... :-)
Saying that, my French husband Stophy has now joined me on my advenure which is a huge break through especially as he is a chef too. (without any coaxing from myself.....he just witnessed the results and sees the logic and wants to be apart of it too....thankfully)
I have been enjoying your threads imensley btw., very informative. merci

Hi Vicky,
I am finding it beautiful in it's simplicity and discipline. My life seems easier now somehow, and just more sensual and sensuous with the beautiful colours, textures and pure flavours. Now If I can just get my hands on a durian my life will feel even more luscious. Thank you for saying you like my work, I appreciate lovely feedback.. Alice xxxx
We just spent a week in Sweden and found so much wild food - some amazing raspberries and a new one for me June Berry or Saskatoon. I don't think we'll be able to go back for the blueberry festival, but we did eat thousands of bilberries in Lithuania last week!
Sorry. As I'm just getting started I don't know. But I certainly would be interested in carrying some of your line. ( :
Let me know when you're ready to talk. All the best!
Hey Nicolas,
A short (water) fast will certainly allow your body to heal itself fastest, and I would say is far better than treating the symptom, which may make you feel better, but will almost always interfere with proper healing.
Good luck! Na...
Thanks, that sucks that the cows kick themselves in the gut..like their lives dont suck enough already.
Ive never kicked myself in the gut from grains though, never a tummy ache, unless mixed with processed foods.
I have a tummy of steel it seems....

So, I ate some (too unripe) pineapple and it "ate" some of me. Sore lips, chapped mouth corners, slightly sensitive/swollen tongue. Anyone know of good remedies for these conditions? Was thinking I should avoid stretching and licking my lips, and ...

P.S. I have a hard time sleeping without some nightcap food too. I was addicted to bananas and almond butter before bed, but I'm trying to phase it out by freezing bananas in the morning and then making raw ice cream at night.
Banana peach coconut smoothie for breakfast, then
3 Collard wraps with spicy mango salsa, avocado, onion, cilantro, sprouts, and sauteed portabello mushroom. Amazing.
Now I'm contemplating dinner. Might treat myself to Que Seraw Seraw in Burlinga...
P.S. Yogi, When my body is in an unwanted condition like ill or overwhelmed I also ask it "What do you need to get well or fix that condition?" Watch closely for it's FIRST THOUGHT and don't invalidate it. Then do whatever you please of course-you...
