i will get ripe bananas and freeze them for ice cream, and in my local farm shop i buy frozen berries. They are not pasteurized, just simply frozen. I will also freeze things like ginger, dates and pies.
I dont think it depleats too many nutriant...
Such a toss-up for me. I personally prefer raw as my body just likes it better, as for the nutritional benefit- I truly don't know, I don't really trust frozen foods. But then again if they can freeze sperm and eggs and create human life from that...

Hi Valerie,
LW there will be a gathering of raw vegan/cooked vegan getting together for a holiday potluck party. in the beginning of Dec. Let me know if you're interested and I can get more info to you.
Hi, how are you? Since you're in the NYC area, I thought I'd extend you an invitation. I'm trying to get a group of people from on here to go on a foraging tour in Central Park on Sunday, May 11 with Wildman Steve Brill. It's from 11:45 to 3:45. A few people have already said yes. Let me know if you're interested. It'd be a great way to spend a Sunday and meet some new people.
Thanks Valerie.
We'll def. visit the "Q" restaurant. Do you know any good Vegan/veggie accommdation, ideal for family? Not really like the idea of Hotel or Motel. A bit scary travelling alone with 2 little children in such BIG city NYC. Admire you being a single mum, live in NYC & being Raw. Thanks.
I personally have two meals... one is a giant 1/2 gallon smoothie I make in the morning. The other is a salad at night. I dont even use that many nuts any more at all.
I can eat a salad every day for life... I love them so much. But, if you are getting bored check out Goneraw.com for great recipes. You definitely want to always get your greens in.
I bought a cheap Oster 16 speed blender (like $25) about a year ago and it does magic. Sort of small, but blends everything I need and leaves my green smoothies smoooooth. Even blends whole nuts =] Oh yeah!
