Sorry to hear you fell off the wagon, but you shouldn't feel guilty for coming on here. I suspect most people on here struggle with being raw. But that's why we're all here -- to support one another. Let's see you posting again.

I skimmed your intimacy post, then decided to delve deeper into your profile. I have to say I am glad to find someone like you, very honest and down to earth. The comment that popped out to me was about four years meaning something. I was with my son's father for over 5 years. Now it is so hard to see that we are such completely different people. I feed my baby green smoothies while he thinks that Tootsie Pops are good for the boy. It is hard to explain the clarity that you see when going raw to meat/SAD eaters. The funny thing is that my current bf and I are discovering raw together, but we still have other demons to deal with. The coolest thing I have noticed is that your raw energy can really effect the energy of the people around you. So make your bf some raw chocolate with maca and stay grateful. I think you and I might have a few things in common. I thought right away that you are a little mixed baby, then saw your rasta baby pic, so I am guessing I am right? Whatever you are, you look beautiful and exotic. I will post a picture of me waaaay back in the day with my Haitian family. Just wanted to share my rasta baby too! (Thanks for letting me rant)

Hi UB!
A few days ago (?) I wrote a spin off post on relationships inspired by your intimacy blog. I posted it and then saw that there was a whole group devoted to this so I yanked it back feeling kinda daffy. Then after I deleted it I saw in my email that you had added something there but it was gone at that point. I wanted to apologize for the time you spent writing and wondered if you had any thing that you wished me to know, that you had expressed, on the subject of my confusion as to how to maintain a raw to non-raw romance?
LOVE THE HUGE INTERNET HUG YOU HAVE CREATED WITH THAT INTIMACY POST BABE!

Back but not totally...

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been on this site for a while... Mostly because of guilt that was out of my control.

For almost a month and a half, I went without any sort of income or job. I was seriously struggling just to pay rent... So, I had to revert back to cooked (vegan) food because I couldn't afford to even buy groceries and that's all I had in my house. I mostly have been sustaining on rice and cooked veggies (lots of Ital recipes). However, I've been trying to keep up on the… Continue

Indian Green Soup!

I ended up having a few drinks last night and I woke up today craving the greens. So I had the normal green smoothie for breakfast and then a wonderful green soup this evening.

Ingredients:

1 small tomato

My First Real RAW MEAL!

So, per the recommendation of yardsnacker's video on youtube, I decided to make the stuffed peppers! I used cubenelle peppers instead and it was very tasty. I also made my version of spanish rice using cauliflower as the rice, then adding spices, tomato, green onion, yellow pepper, and then I topped it w/ the remaining filling from the stuffed peppers. On the side I just sliced up and avo and added some seasoning to it (I was too lazy to make guac). This was sooo good and I would definitely make… Continue

I made it to 1 MONTH!

Well, I've done 30 days raw! I feel great. I haven't been 100% but I've been maintaining between 75% - 95% raw, and if I have eaten anything cooked it has been vegan, so that's a plus. I think I've switched smoking for smoothies. I smoothie sometimes, twice a day. I love it, probably just because it's sweet, and I have a crazy sweet tooth. But I usually feel better after I have one.

The only downside is actually what someone said to me yesterday. I was at my local market, and I ran into… Continue

Why is it so hard....

Just to find employment?

Maybe I'm just too picky, but damn, I do have a college degree... Shouldn't I not want to have to settle for working fast food??

Even if I was to get a decent job in my field, there's still nights and weekends and long hours and being underpaid, and half the time there's no benefits. Why did I major in Hospitality again??

Anyone want to give me a job??? :)

How long did 50lbs last you? A week? I would recommend that a person get some greens to go along with their bananas.. did you forage for any greens that week?
