Any pinkish coloring means the coconut is already bad. If you take your fingernail and scratch the whitish meat and it slimes up, the coconut is "going" bad. When the water is inconsistently cloudy, its bad too.

Yes bacteria there is pink.
Kiani would know if it's OK to drink it pink, as he ferments cocos in Hawaii'. I never buy cracked or moldy cocos, my immune system is too weak. OH BUT WE DO LOVE THOSE COCOS. Everyday.Yum!

That usually means it is going bad. I would take it back to the store. They will usually let you trade it for a fresher one.
Just cracked open a young coconut and there was just a little meat on one side. The meat was a magenta pinkish and the juice is a rose color. Their is no bad smell. The juice tastes oddly like tea.

If it comes back it's yours, if it doesn't it never was. Luck has nothing to do with it.
i called vita mix once and it was explained to me that it stops when you use the variable speed on a low number for more than a few seconds. we're supposed to quickly accelerate the speeds from low. 45 min. later it will work again.
That was some mix!!! I would give it time too or ship it back!
I just shipped mine back to the company because it broke. It always emitted a burning smell from the get go and I wasn't sure if that's how it was suppose to be or if i was doing something wrong. I kept using it though and ignoring the smell, lol....

Magenta Young Coconut?

arghhhh! Drat. Just totaled the Vita Mix. The recipe that did it in: 10 young coconut meat. a tablespoon of agave nectar. raw sesame seeds. one batch plain. one with raw cacao powder. blend and dehydrate.

Dehydrator Mold
Arghhhh. I have a nine tray food dehydrator. Last week I left the house and forgot I had two trays of crackers in the dehydrator. They were growing when I returned four days later. I had forgotten to turn the dehydrator on. I ditched the moldy masses and washed the teflex sheets. I just went a a dehydratathon and there is a white mold like substance growing on my tomatoes.
What next?

Not a bell pepper, not a tomato, not a papaya, NOT DEHYDRATED either, it is a natural sundried sweet fruit!!! I distinctly remember feeling the exact way. I had the Nesco dehydrator before, and it stunk (it didn't work well). LOL The Nesco dehydrator is made in a circular shape and it would take doubly long to dehydrate, and food was often very moist/chew...
I think the green is more "leafy" tasting (which I don't mind) but doesn't have the same long-lasting aftertase that the white does. I love the Wisdom of the Ancients green stevia liquid. I've finally made friends with stevia, LOL! I get it from V...
