Doug really emphasizes mono meals of 1 type of fruit and lots of it. Food digests much better when eaten this way. Let's say you require 2000cal a day, that would break down to 8 bananas for breaky /morning, 8 apples for lunch/afternoon, dinner = ...

Hi girly Tory, my BMI was 15% at the time, it is now 21%, I trained 7 days a week. Ran 30-45mins 5 days a week, weight trained, walked, and yoga. I ate alot of fruit, watermelon, strawberries, apples, cantalopes, papaya,blueberries, mangos, and I would eat coconuts from the trees, meat and water, mono meals. I also fasted one day per week. I didn't eat all that much greens, and truthfully I can remember never having a taste for them. This was two years ago, before I even knew of Doug Gram. I also wouldn't touch ANYTHING that wasn't raw, or organic, which meant no raw prepaired dishes...and if I did have them it was rare... just be careful missy!! Anything extreme isn't always beneficial in the end. stay beautiful an sweet sista! xo
it was AWESOME!!!.... for about 4-5 days...cough ...then there were all these un-regular people coming in and out of my apt. and they were eating nothing but fast food, which i'm not used to even seeing anymore, and on like day 5 i had a HUGE moment of weakness and ate the 1st non-raw thing in 2 months... a bowl of organic ceral with almond mylk ;( ...that night i threw it back up i guess i'm glad for that i don't want that in my body anyway.
but now i'm struggling to get back to 100%, i think i'm gonna start another green smoothie fast tomarrow and just BE more disciplined ...i'm really ashamed/embarrassed that i got off the wagon though :(
but man you passed out!!! that is ROUGH ouch!!!! yeah i just graduated in june so i remember very well how high school interferes with being raw,,, my BEST advice don't get too into those nutbutter raw energy bars!!!! i thought "hey it's raw vegan" and i lived off those forever!!! try to do as many green smoothies as possible... i can give you some full proof recipes...
but hey if you stilllll wanna do a fast... do a green smoothie fast !!!! i was drinking a gallon or more of green smoothie a day and getting 2-3 bunches of greens in every day, along with 2-3 pieces of fruit in each smoothie, there would be noooo way you would pass out!! And i totally understand the conspiracy thing my powerlifting dad thinks in a few months time i'm gonna be a huge girly-man, and alllllways throws PROTEIN at me ...drag.... take it easy and stick with it kid :) !!!
