I tried them - they work.

Yes...they're great. I'm not big on the alcohol either...so I've come to make my own flower remedies every year in vinegar/distilled water base. Important to keep the concentration down in the mother tinctures because they'll rust the top off of m...

Hi Theresa, thanks for your message. Hope you got some vitamin D, autumn has just started here and its getting colder and colder, watched the sunset on the beach last night but won't be able to do that for much longer and it gets colder and windier here.
What kind of differences have you noticed with relexology? Yeah it was great to meet Victoria and her daughter at the beginning of my raw transition. They were both just real people who cared enough to share their knowledge and didn't seem to be out to sell sell sell in a monetary kind of way which was nice.
I haven't missed a smoothie yet, but I'm going away for a few days soon and staying at a hotel so not sure what I'll do on those days.
The food combining thing would be important for your digestion problems, I don't ususally have that problem unless I eat something non raw like I did the other day. I had one tiny piece of ordinary chocolate the other day with some dried fruit, that must have been a bad combination because I was in pain for the rest of the night and through the next morning. I might need to look more closely at the combing information after that.
I take the tablet form of bee pollen and can't taste it, I haven't tried the actual granuals. Looking forward to trying almond milk sometime. My detox symptoms have finally started to stop, yah! Well I better get back to work, hope you are feeling well,
Amanda

Hi Therese, how are you today? That's great that you were able to get off all your medication too. It's an amazing feeling, I never even considered it was possible for me after a life time of allergies. Thanks for the idea about reflexology, I think I might give that a go. I work with an osteo and massage therapist every week and they are great but I'm also keen to try something new.
I started this new lifestyle by introducing more and more raw vegetables and fruits and other super foods. Then I attended a green smoothie talk by Victoria Boutenko and from that point with the addition of green smoothies was able to increase up to about 80% raw quite easily. I like Victoria's approach and it seems to be working for me.
I'm reading Natalia Rose's books now but find her food combining approach a little bit too restrictive or confusing for me. Also we can't get a lot of the things she talks about here in New Zealand. So I'm sticking with Victoria and her simple approach, as well as reading all the info I can get.
I'm still not able to or maybe willing to give up coffee, but I'm finding I can't tolerate the milk in my one coffee a day and I don't like soy milk so I'm trying to figure out what to do about that at the moment.
Have you tried bee pollen? I had some today to see if it might perk me up a bit and it seems to have. I don't want to take a lot of supplements but this seems like a good one to take now and then, it's also good for my allergies, so they say.
See you,
Amanda

Hi Theresa, I'm new to the raw lifestyle too. I've been slowly introducing it over the last couple of months and have seen some great benefits as well as some not so great ones.
Seems like most people don't have too much trouble with detoxing problems. A few weeks in to it I had intense hip and back pain that lasted for 7 days. I had stopped taking all medication including pain killers so it was really hard to get through that week. That was last week. After an intense massage that pain is gone but now my skin is terrible.
I've never really had acne but now its breaking out for the first time in my life at 30. I've also lost 13 pounds in less that two months and I was a healthy weight to start with, that also seemed a bit dramatic.
Anyone just wanted to share with you that I'm having problems with detoxing too. Would love to keep in touch to give eachother support on detoxing issues, I don't know enough yet to give you any advice but good luck, Amanda (from New Zealand)

Yes, I totally understand that. Just make sure you go very, very slowly and don't just work on diet, but all aspects of your life as there is often other causes.

Hi Therese,
Sorry to hear about your skin problems. I know how painful it is!
I healed myself through a very simple and clean high raw diet of green juices, green salads, some steamed veg and baked root veg to slow down the detox (it was too fast without a small amount of cooked sides and too painful), plus a lot of colonics. NO high sugar fruits, desserts, etc
I also addressed emotional issues, stress, meditated, fresh air and sunshine and a lot more.
I hope this helps. It can be very tough and it took me quite a long time to heal but then I had decades of steroid cream usage to get out of my body.

Doh! I bet you CAN'T get slippery elm in Norway...IF YOU'RE IN SWEDEN.

Silly Americans...oh how I love to play into all of the globally-held American stereotypes.

Sorry Therese:)

Just been talking to so many people. I CAN find Sweden on the map, you know. Norway too. I just can't find my brain sometimes. lol

But the offer still holds. I can send slippery elm to Sweden. Making you walk to Norway wouldn't be very nice of me. Or would you take a boat? Alright, James is gonna stop talking now:)

You may want to check out slippery elm and turmeric. They've helped me a lot with inflammation. The elm is also food, essentially, so it'll keep you going. I also had success with a probiotic that I added in. If you can't get slippery elm in Norway, I can send you some:)

I dont smell like fruit, but since getting all the processed foods out of my diet I find I hardly need deoderant. Theres definitely a noticeable improvement. What are people supposed to smell like? In nature, animals smell musky.
