I'd look into DMSO if I were in your position. Similar to MSM in that it's a sulfuric compound, but it's in a solvent form so you apply it topically and it goes deep into the skin. Read up on it first though as solvents require careful use. And n...

I would definitely choose spring water over any other water! In terms of trusting the water it's a good idea to check a few things. 1) What's the site like? Is the eye (not necessarily the same as the outlet) of the spring away from industrial ar...

I would second the Sunfood Diet Success System. It's a great place to start. While I don't entirely agree with the dietary recommendations in that book, the rest of the content is excellent.

I definitely agree with everything Rawstrength had to say! We use condoms. I've had negative reactions to some kinds, but for the most part they work fine...definitely avoid spermicide though. Cum actually has some B12 and zinc in it, so as long...

Oh yeah. Big difference between Coconut Oil and Coconut Butter. I'd like to make my own Coconut Butter some day.

Thank you Tamara, that was really interesting info. I have done nettles etc but I just started with a cup of Milk Thistle tea a day. I rarely have liver pain but I have dark circles, allergies, skin problems, bad pms and random super irritability (like, where I don't feel like myself, I'm a pretty easy going person). I'm going to do reishi and schizandra soon. I just ordered some birch juice as I heard that is super cleansing to the liver. Thank you again and best of luck!

From my research, Coconut Cream is made by grinding up the fresh, hard Coconut Meat with a fancy machine until it is smooth.

Coconut Butter is made from grinding hard Coconut Meat until it is just shredded, then the shreds are dehydrated, then the dried shreds are ground down into a butter. That explains why the Coconut Butter doesn't require refrigeration and has a long shelf life.

I hear the Beverly Hills Juice Club makes fresh Coconut Cream.

Hi Tamara! I'd love more info on how you cleared up your liver issues. I would love to hear all about your symptoms, I'm working on some liver issues myself. How do you take your schizandra berries? Tincture? Thanks so much!

Hey Tamara

It's been a while. How are you? How's spring in BC, Canada?
Here in Sweden everything in on the verge of bursting into a light green explosion. It makes me soooo HAPPY!

Hi Tamara

Sorry for the delayed answer. And great to hear that you love your life. I love my life to. Thou I've been kind of busy and probably will be this entire spring. I see your point in enjoying time more when you have less time to share with someone. I experience kind of the same with my kids. I do not see them very much during the weeks. Maybe an hour before their bedtime, yet I almost value that one hour a night more than all the time I get to spend with them during the weekend. It's kind of funny in a way that one have to be short of time to really appreciate it...
It sure is nice that the days are getting longer right now. I love the beuty of spring and acctually disussed this wiht a Ghanian friend the other day. Right now nature looks dead here and it is really hard to imagine thet in on month or so everything will just explode in a beutiful cascade of life. Vibrating and glowing...that's a big advantage with a rainy, grey and dark winter. I really look forward to the bursting of nature and this year I have decided to enjoy it fully. To spend a lot of time in nature during those few weeks of the rebirth of nature. Love, joy and nature will spire...

Raw food bigotry

I had thought I that I would use my very first blog post to introduce myself, but this morning something more important came up. This morning I responded to a post on another forum, a post that i found deeply disturbing, and not at all uncommon in the rawfood community. It was written by someone who was claiming, in essence, that his superfood lifestyle had made it seem near impossible to even consider having a romantic relationship with someone 'cooked'. He seemed to think that as a result of h… Continue
