Hey,
Yes I've been to Malaga area and stayed there for a couple of months. We were doing the rounds of raw foody places, and there were a lot of british people there!! Which was quite unexpected. Orgiva, in the alpujaras, has a raw food group, which maybe you know about. There are also people running yoga retreats in that area, as well as a lot of organic farmers. I loved it there! love and light!!
So nice to know of raw-foodists just around the corner (almost!) from home... Nice idea to be running retreats, best of luck with it.
Indeed Spain is not an easy place when it comes to organic. We basically get all our greens and fresh produce from the central market in Valencia (where there is 1 organic shop and a few organic farmers selling their products themselves), and we mix this with what we find in an Organic food store called Ecorganic (their products are organic but not local). I guess in Alicante you are bound to have a similar option.
I also heard about an association called Bioalacant which delivers weekly baskets of organic seasonal produce to its members. We had something similar in VLC called Terra Sana, but it just went buzz, what a shame!
Hope this helps - cheers for now
Ollie

Isn't the panda gorgeous? And yes it really is eating an apple.
I can't take credit for the picture though. It comes from Flickr and was taken by Swamibu.

I love apples too! I made a "killer-Raw-Apple-Pie" last week, with different kind of apples in it. It was so good I can't stop thinking about it. The panda-bear in the pic is soooo cute! Did you take the picture yourself?

Really excited to hear about your retreats in Alicante! Are there many raw foodists in your locality?
