I am actually going to Hawaii, Kauai next March, halfway from Australia and my friends in Toronto whom we are meeting up with. I'll have to look at a map and see where Hilo is. After the family leaves Kauai we are thinking of going to another island for 2 weeks. Any suggestions? Where is nice to visit at that time of the year? Where is best to get raw foods?
By the way you look incredible, 5 grandkids, you must be kidding!!! You so don't look old enough!
Hey StarFire. This is Samariah from rawfoodtalk. I don't post much there at the moment, but I do remember you always being really optimistic and supportive. How is it going?
Btw, I recently visited Hawaii. It really is paradise! I want to live there! I loved the Big Island.
STARFIRE!!!
HII i just wanted to let you know that I was making a green smoothie this morning and since I'm back home in Colombia I thought of you a lot today!
Just dropping by to let you know that I'm still training, both in acting and running. I really hope you're doing well yourself, and that everything's good with your children and your hubby.

Aloha, I just returned from Oahu and met some wonderful people. I love the laid back vibes of the North Shore and I would love to incorporate the raw lifestyle along with the eco-retreat vision I have. I found land and I am looking into more of the details. I met a man that builds green and off the grid. I still can't believe how behind Oahu is in comparison with the other islands, but I think I will make a change with that. ;)
I met ONE person at a farmers market who just moved to the island 2 months ago and has started potlucks. I was thrilled. Hey, it's a start!
Anyhow, I am super excited to see where things go from here.
I love the fact that your restaurant has developed from potlucks.....AMAZING! What a great way to get started. I am cheering you on.
Aloha! I saw you lived in Hawaii! I lived on Oahu for a while and I am planning to go back in 3 weeks. Anyhow, I have never been to the other islands. I have been wanting to open a raw wellness retreat on Oahu. I can't believe there isn't even one raw food restaurant there. Anyhow, I am wondering if it is the best island to invest in. I noticed there is more raw stuff on Maui and The big Island. Hmmm.... has me thinking. :)
Hey! :D Ah, no worries!! I don't log on here very often either. Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! That means a lot coming from you:) ...yes, I do model from time to time. My current avatar is part of a photo from a past shoot. It's a pretty fun pic. I bet you'd really like the pants!
If I get to Hawaii one day, we definitely have to meet up!
hello StarFire! Thanks for the VERY nice thread back on the coconut... I didn't have a good experience with the one I tried... you certainly cleared up some things for me.. thank you SO much.. don't stay away so long!
That is a good point Angus. I have found that a lot of fundamentalist religions accuse everyone else of worshiping the devil and it like a blind hysteria- like all these other people have a black bible in their house and secretely worship a statue...

Yeah really that was just my negative response to Arnold Ehret's book from an emotional standpoint. I just found it lacking in completion. There's good logic in it though.

The dates for 2010 are now on the website. Last year no one wanted to leave the island, so this year we are doing 10 day retreats!!

I'm not going to comment on climate change. But i will comment on carbon trading. Because they can produce such a consciousness of fear out of global warming - they are able to manipulate markets much more severely - and they seem to get away with...

I've started this group in order to find and link with people who eat raw food in and around London too. We can share ideas and books, meet up for potlucks and even go out for meals together
