I also played Volleyball in High school. The biggest factor in geting lean the evolutionary way is the food part. Even if you don't workout, you will still get lean. I tore a rotator cuff muscle playing baseball a few months ago, so my workouts have been pretty mild. I do sprints once a week, sometimes twice. Start off with just a few, and increase until you can do 6 50 to 70 yard ones. If your going to hit the gym never workout to max or exaustion. Do three sets of each exercise in in descending hiarchecal order, ie 15 at 60% max 8 at 70% max and 4 at 80% max. Fun activities is also a big part, so you might want to find a volleyball league in your area, and come out of retirement. I am not the best at explaing this. I think it might be worth it to subscribe to devany's site for a month or two, and read all the fitness, and diet posts. I am going to send you an email, with more info.

I have been an athlete my whole life, and lean muscle is the best for optimum performance. My energy levels are very high, You onlu need a couple of short intense workouts a week to get very lean, and ripped. Wind sprints are the best. If you ever took a close look at world class sprinters compared to long distance runners, you will notice a major differnece. The sprinters look great and healthy while the long runners look weak and sickly. What sports did you play? I was a Baseball, and Hockey player, still play baseball, and played hockey for the first time in 8 years last night. It was much fun.

Devany's site is now a subscription site, it was free when I first read it over a year ago. There is still some good free content though. A really good book to read that explains the basice premise is The paleo diet by Lauren Cordain. I don't eat anything out of a can or box, nothing that is processed, no grain, or dairy. I eat like humans have eaten for the last three million years, except for anything that was introduced in the last 10,000 years.
This is the original evoltuionary fitness essay.
http://www.arthurdevany.com/webstuff/images/RevisedEssay.pdf The fitness part is intense intermitent workouts followed by lots of rest and play. I eat lots of fruit, veggies, nuts, fish, poultry, and lean meats. When you eat this way you woman develop a hour glass curvy figure, and men very lean muscle mass, and very little body fat. Any more question feel free to ask.

Thanks for sharing your methods of opening these delicious, nutritious wonders. :-) This was an abnormally large organic pomegranate, but organic it was.

Well we are not early man. Sitting on the computer typeing isn't natural. Not sure what being natural has to do with working out. Jumping rope at a moderate pace seems okay for someone out of shape or for a warm up. If you want it to be an effect...

I find it's quicker to make four cuts, scaling the outer skin equally then pulling it away and thumping with a wooden spoon. Plus it's less of a mess and you don't lose any juice because none of the kernels are cut :) There are different varietie...
