i have my green tea. i love it and i dont give a damn! i love everything else raw. its all about where you are feeling happy and at peace with.
however,. with coffee i can just speak for my personal experience on coffee.... i was insomniac for ye...
I'm on day two of no coffee .... and have been successfully getting through the day drinking Numi Breakfast Blend - organic Morning Rise (w. black tea). http://www.numitea.com Not ideal, but for now it is.
..get your intuition going.. the deep gut feeling will tell you which to let go.. and do not forget that by letting go you're making new space - opening to new refreshing energies into you life~* so no fear!
The question itself is part of the problem. People who use "raw" as a label are kinda shooting themselves in the foot. You're scaring yourself into a failure mindset. Think of raw more as a verb than as a noun. It's what you eat, not who you are. ...
Our words inspired me to write a poem :o)
"Coffee made me feel like crap -
It pushed my hormones off the map -
So I made the switch to Tulsi tea
And every cup's so good for me."
I gave up coffee in December. Had a mild headache after 2 days then no cravings and slept better than ever.
No you cannot be raw and drink coffee. Coffee is processed, addictive and unhealthy.
Yesterday afternoon and evening I started drinking Tulsi tea (Sweet Lemon) and actually woke up this morning feeling like I can kick my caffeine habit without having to go to Canyon Ranch. ( http://www.organicindia.com/organic-tulsi-teas.php#usa )
I love coffee and by June I had just about managed to kick the habit, well, I had broken my coffee machine. Then I went to Australia and everything went downhill, I was drinking a large quantity of (ughh) latte's made with rice or mainly soy milk....
Really fun to read everyone!
Here's a story I've told many times.
I had a friend who was about twenty and worked in a cafe. She made a bet ~~ she won the bet, here's what she did.
She drank a double espresso
Every fifteen minutes
For four

One thing you can play with is to try not drinking any coffee or caffeine (or any stimulant) for 3 months just to see how it feels. If you don't think it makes much of a difference to be caffeine free, you can always add it back in.
I still drink 1/2 C coffee in the am. I love my fair trade, organic french pressed cup. I've tried 7-8 times to get rid of it, but ultimately i realize my day never began. I have no worries about it at all. Everything else is raw.
Holy Stromabolly!!! BatWoman!
I actually quit a year and a half ago, before I went raw. I wanted to so bad, and I just was ready.
Now I get to limit my cacao, ha-ha. Have you seen Eating for Beauty by David Wolfe?

Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found.
I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen.
Healing with whole foods is a great start..
I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports:
1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs
2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...
Because we believe we are dying. Fact is there is no such thing as "natural causes" or "dying of old age" death is always the result of sickness and disease, of which, all are preventable.
I choose to not buy into the 'I am dying' thing, it's the...
