I know of a guy like that dFlP. He can only eat taco bell meat taco salads without a stitch of lettuce. If one drop of lettuce accidentally gets mixed in he gets terrible stomach pains. Eats nothing but meat elsewhere too.
I go by eye, feel, smell etc. I use it for wet anaerobic ferments (kefir/rejuvelac-champagne etc). I've tried it on raw meat too, but then it really doesn't ferment, it mostly transfers the liquid out and the liquid that comes out pretty much stay...

No I havent tryed the manuka honey yet, as I have to find a place where I can buy it. No that easy as im in Europe. But I deffently will :-)))
Shanti, I find if I add honey to food and le it culture, sweetness goes away and the food develops new flavors in place. It's a good way o make your own fresh raw live probiotics. I don't like sweet food either, but unheated honey is another story...
Wow durianrider that is amasing. Going vegan and eliminating dairy and gluten has been a huge turnig point for me aswell.

i had chrons. would fill the toilet bowl with blood. going vegan helped massively and going 811 totally stopped it.
