Yes there are lots of places where you can get your health food. They are called farmers markets. The best part about them: they don't have "superfoods".
I've ordered from them. They're fast and kind and best of all, you're supporting local (raw) business. I'd defintiely recommend them. They really do ship quickly. That being said, they're out of some stuff right now, but they do say on the website...
I hear you about the weight loss....trying to do a bit of that myself.....and also, I'm not getting nearly enough greens as well. I'm not a fan of green smoothies, but I think I'm going to have to suck it up, because I think that's the only way I'll get enough in!
I'd fare a lot better with the snow if people would actually shovel their sidewalks! I walk to work, and I was walking like a drunk person....falling all over the place! What made me go raw....well, I saw Alissa Cohen on the Tyra Banks show (yeah, I know..), and she was one of three "diet gurus" in a weight loss challenge. Each "guru" had a team, and when her "diet" was explained, it really piqued my interest, so I looked into it, and decided that the benefits were too great for me to pass up! I'm not saying it's been easy, but I'll tell you, I feel so much better when I eat whole, living foods, that I'm gradually making my way to being entirely raw. I've also found that when I eat raw, I eat a lot less...I mean ridiculously less...and I'm starving myself or anything, it's just so much easier to listen to your body, you know? How about you? How long have you been at it? You said you were around Niagara escarpment....anything interesting around there? I've never even been to the Beaches! For shame, I know....

I was at a red light. Same thing also happened to me when Rudy Guiliani crossed in front of my car. Hitting the gas did occur to me for a second or two.
Sure, too much fat is bad for the liver. But fat isn't per se bad for the liver, is it?
Not only in 811 but also other people say to limit the fat but maybe raw plant fat helps to flush out some stuff out of the liver?
