Google the 'grape cure'.... Seems living on blended concord grapes.... or veg juice (not both) ... can really work wonders...

My gums start to receed and hurt when I eat too many oranges but soon felt alot better when I started back blending my fruit with greens. If I drink regular green smoothies my gums feel amazing

Slowing it down

We have started eating cooked vegs almost every night... and have even had a SAD meal.. almost once per week.

My mineral levels are rising and I feel a bit stronger.

Going too fast can really hurt.

If you are highly toxic... not feeling well... best to read Justin's post on transitioning slowly... and take it easy... set the goals....

Right now... I am content to eat raw all day - cooked vegs most nights.. and an occasional SAD meal.. no more than one per week.

We will get there... seems to… Continue

811 RV Day 7 - Outta Minerals....

All,

Prior to 811 - my afternoon readings were normally 6.8 - 7.2... am was between 6 and 6.2...

Here is a link that describes it pretty well..

http://tuberose.com/Acid_Base_Balance.html

I have tested this with SAD acid meals, alkaline meals..etc.. seems to be correct.

I believe the high fruit/low fat diet is very detoxifying (ie: the Mucusless Diet Healing System by Prof. Arnold Ehret)....

Detoxification requires the neutralization of a LOT of acid waste/residue... quite draining on the m… Continue

811 RV Day4

Just a quick update. Detoxing... and decided to stop taking antifungals.....

Fruit and greens all day... then maybe 12 almonds, 5 brazil nuts, some seeds...

I am attracted to the simplicity of this diet... you can tell it is the way we were intended to eat...

811RV Day1 - Mareike how's it going ??

Had a 'warmup yesterday.. ;~)... today is my first official day on the 811RV. I have to tell you.... i am feeling OK. Seems I have more energy already.

80% carbs, 10% protein and fats.... (caloric content). The fact is - you have 5% fat... from an all fruit/greens diet... so any additional fat must be minimized.

I was eating WAY 2 MUCH FAT !!

This should be a change for the better.

Balance in the Diet

Hey out there !!! How does everyone out there balance their diet.??

D. Wolfe recommends 33% each of fats, greens, sweet fruits (by dry weight).

I personally think I am close to this - likely a bit low on the fats.

More like 20 40 40 ... or 30 35 35...

Curious if any of you pay attention to this... and how it makes you feel ?

I know I am extremely tired... no spring in my step.

Today I "fell off the smoothie wagon" and had some nut/seed crackers with avocado.... I felt better afterwards !!… Continue

Hey Russ,
how's 80/10/10 working for you? Still hanging in there?
I'm currently doing high fat :( Since we last 'spoke' I approached 80/10/10 about three times but I just never last more than two weeks. One thing I notice is that after about a week on it my teeth start to get sensitive. Any experience with that?
Cheers :)

Thanks Russ. I actually have one in town who claims to be raw, and is into healing stuff.. actually spends his lunch hour doing "healing" type stuff with people at his office. Not sure, I think some kind of spiritual/emotional healing. Anyway, I think I'll go to him, but I'm not sure yet.

Did insurance cover any of yours? I want to check about that.

Yes, I want to have my metals out. Did you get a special dentist to do it? Someone told me to be really careful, but now I'm paranoid to even do it. She had a lot of trouble with mercury poisoning afterward. How did you go about it?

Saw you posted about gums receding, and lately Kevin Gianni had a video up about someone who used TOoth Soap and it helped their gums which were previously receding.
Just me, but I wouldn't expect the 80-10-10 people to acknowledge problems like that, necessarily. It would make their diet look bad. I"m not such a professoinal or anything, just my hunch, and my hunch has been that 8-1-1 wouldn't be good for me either.
Didn't you mention something in the other forum that one should not do intense cleansing/fruit eating until the metals are out of your mouth? Or was that someone else? (On Connies forum I think) Have you changed your mind about that/?
I'm sure you'll find out what helps. It sounds like you are on a quest!
blessings!

Hey RawDad
Thanks for your positive comment--We have 2 teens (17 and 15) -My eating habits are 'rubbing' off on them-one is just about vegetarian and they are way more aware of what they eat than before. I always tell them that if I had discovered Raw sooner that they would have never eaten meat or cooked foods (lol).
I wish you the best with your family--
Peace:)

Yea I used to feel like that when I bought these gadgets. Now I just look em up & make them myself. They're pretty easy to make if you have basic knowledge of handy-manism. Simple solar dehydrator Here's a $10 DIY electric version.

Are you crazy women? I love animals. I had frogs, fish, birds, cats, all at one time. My apartment was a zoo at one point. My cat at that time got hold of some of my love birds. Wasn't a pretty site.
