Cool can't wait to get it, after i made the purchase there was a message saying it may be a month!
I was trying to work out what you ment by 'festivities' then i realised what time of year it was!! Im celebrating daily up here :-)
Hey RW thanks so much for all that info, great advice. Im waiting on a book from the states (which you probably have!) The daniel formula which I think subscribes to the Lydiard method of training. Also reading a great article called McMillans sex-step training system, have you read it?
My Heart rate has been steady at about 52 so i think im fine, i raced last night 5km and my heart rate got to 198bpm and I averaged 177 the whole race and feel fine today.....I did have an experience about a week ago where I ate a lily leaf and that caused all sorts of issues like dire-rear ;-( Which inturn I got dehydrated, all good now but it was probably contributing to disrupted sleep.

There is no doubt that raw food can sustain 100+ mile weeks... I've done it... Never had an issue.
Cool great advice RW, doing the yoga before bed takes some discipline but i'll give it a go.
Oh yeah tend to the little ones arm, seems to be a fav bone to break growing up!
Ciao :-D
Thanks RW great advice, I have been toying with 2nd run idea but im suffering some sleep disturbances which is most likely overtraining. I have been running for ten years but very inconsistently, the past month ive started up again and logged over 172kms which i think is increasing the kms too quickly when i should be working on building my base kms in my legs first. Problem is my cardio system is fit enough for more but my legs aren't trained up specifically for running enough.
I do yoga for about 15mins after every run & strength train twice a week, working well so far.
Thanks for the info
p.s- yeah Eddies fantastic huh? Love the soundtrack from 'Into the Wild', great profile photo but where are you? Delete Comment
Wow, the distance you run is impressive! How long have you been doing the raw thing? Are you following 811?
I am. I have been raw for about six months, and 811 for about two or three months. I'm loving it, the energy, the simpleness, my only complaint is my skin- bumpy as hell since I upped the fruit. I'm now determined to be patient with it, but it is difficult! Today all I've eaten is melons- honeydew and rockmelons. I'm hoping this gives my body a bit of a breather.
Ohh I love swimming in the mountains. So many good water holes! Ahh all this talk of swims, now I want to swim.
I am a fulltime phd student at uws. I also do a bit of intern work for an academic journal.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

OOooh berries are good right now. The rasberries on my backyard vine are appearing every day!
How the running going on these beautiful hot days? Do you stop and swim in some of the mountains waterfalls?
xx
things that have actually worked for me:
Valerian root for tea - very calming...
Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
oh yeah there were like 3 judges who really eager to find mistakes in my asanas and other yoga practices that they asked me to perform :)
But i am lucky hahahaha
