Hi Rose, you gorgeous red-head you! I read your thread on your mood disorder. I just wanted to offer you some support as I have a close personal relation with a mood disorder who is also a "socio- path". (not that I like to lable people this way or that). SO. I understand not wanting to be on meds etc. I also understand getting angry at people who want to try to help you. So I'm not going to take it personally if you tell me to go "F" myself, lol - I heard that daily (sometime more often) from my relitive. First of all, no one knows you like you. Raw Food is not going to be the answer to your problems because it sounds like there are many layers to it. Raw Food, like meditation and exercise is a modality that may bring you greater peace, health and happiness. Sounds like you've had a lot of heart ships and your body is over loaded. Maybe it's time for a drastic lifestyle change. Time to dig deep into your guts and spill it out. Maybe you need a friend that can handle your anger and moods and help you find some presence in all of that chaos. Do you meditate? My relitive who has been a raw foodist and daily meditator for many years is now, finally, starting to level out. His anger is subsiding and in place is an incredible presence and peace. He is not on meds, never has been. Instead, he has taken the time and the energy over the past few years to deal with himself on a very real basis. All his junk - there's a lot. :) Have you heard of the Esalen Institute? It's a center for the Human Potential Movement. When my relitive was at his worst, he would often go there for the weekend to spend time in nature, self reflecting, enjoying the sulfur baths and allowing himslef to feel taken care of. There are classes you can attend on everything from drumming to Gestalt. They have a program where you can come and live there and attend classes in exchange for a nominal fee and working on the grounds in one department or another. I myself find a great deal of peace and support when I visit.
Hope you find what it is that you looking for.
Peace and light!
Jennifer
Hi Rose! I hope you have a great holiday season. I don't know a lot about the topic you have been active on but I'd like to say you are so beautiful - it's got to be hard to live in Alaska too.
I hope you can look into guidance from some kind of spiritual source. I think we are spiritual being that are confined and held hostage by our bodies and lives in a way. If you can learn to develop this aspect you may feel and be more free and this may bring you more ultimate happiness..
I will only be at raw spirit fest if I get a plane ticket so I dunno, its kind of up in the air right now. I really want to go but I have a shit load of medical bills piling up from when I was really sick and when I had my accident and I have even more on my credit report. And I am in the midst of buying my first, reliable vehicle in 3 years. So I dunno, I am trying to get there but it just depends on business and bills pretty much. Things have been pretty rough lately, but you can totally get a rain check :)
YES YES YES! Thank you so much for this. I have been procrastinating BIG TIME. You have served as the motivation I needed to clear this crazy clutter I live in once and for all! You're wonderful =]
That's hilareous. My husband looks at the sun to make himself sneeze. There's some weird phenomena that 10% of the population has that looking at the sun makes them sneeze.
being connected nope not a coincidence...raw opens up our chakras and there you have it,wham it hits you in the face sometimes Chris, its intense but intensely exciting...
yup i love hearing everyone different ways and experiences its wonderful to...
Hi Loren. Dillon is 6 years old, very skinny and eats like a horse, I have noted in the past that when he has had a virus and been suffering from fever and lack of appetite that his autism is less severe.
celery is hugely important in my diet,as i dont add salt to anything..when i do have the occasional piece of sunbread or raw chocolate which contains salt,i reallllly feel it quite negatively....
great advice Loren :)
Great points RG you're right, one size dosent fit all. For me it was purely a health thing to start, but then as you so well described it, the layers started peeling back. It really took me by surprise, was very unexpected, which is why I now just...
