I think celery actually has negative calories, but i don't foresee a problem with it.
I really feel like you have to kick the comfort food habit. Use this break as energy to drive your passion for a healthy lifestyle. Your best bet is learn new things, that always seems to help me close old doors. One thing that might be good thing...
Although all of your family won't be receptive and supportive to your new lifestyle, the ones that do support you are bound to want to share a dinner out with you every so often.

The way I see It- (2nd puberty)
The raw food community is one full of people of a variety of backgrounds. Its amazing how so many different paths can lead to the same place ( its like all rivers eventually find the ocean), but we have to realize that no matter how we got here it is the best place that we can be.
