2 years down the tubes but starting over now

Since DecemberI Ive been slowly returning to SAD and feel more and more like crap and Ive gained about 40 lbs.
Yea I was a happy healthy 160 lbs and felt wonderful, was on top of the world for 2 years and now Im 210 and miserable.
Ive been basically living off Dorritos and Dr.pepper. UGH!
Anyway I know its emotional eating and now I need to fight back.
Its just that the more RAW I eat the more I go back to the junk food.
I dont know if maybe I am burned out on fruit/veggies or what it is but can… Continue

Yeah same here. It's funny how we can just "re-program" ourselves....

Hey Rob! You're too sweet~ :-D Refeeding has been challenging. I keep forgetting to eat because I am simply never hungry now and have a complete lack of desire for food. Sometimes it's like I get crazy ravenous, intense hunger, but...the mental "want" for food has completely vanished. I seem to have broken past the idea that I need food or something and don't want it. It's been just as intense refeeding as it was fasting because I feel like I should be keeping regular with eating but there is no interest. It makes me wonder if I should fast again. I dunno...I was doing fruit purees for a few days but feel like I might attempt something semi-solid, like a banana, in its whole state within the next day or so. Maybe having something 'solid' will help stimulate my appetite because it's not there right now. Hmmm... :-)

I read the book. I agree with the concept, but wouldn't necessarily put any time restrictions on myself. I would work towards that goal of eating once a day but I would let me body be the guide. When, what and how it wants it is what I'll follow.

Good luck to you! I'll see how it goes.

Cool! Small world.

I agree about eating less times in a day. I'm currently striving to eat twice, which I'm about to achieve. The next step is to eat once.

When you eat, do you eat as much as can until you can't anymore?

Hey! No worries! One thing you should know about me, is that I am very strange. I really am...the weirdest person I know. It takes A LOT to freak me out. :-) I will check out your blog. I am so proud of you on your fast! One moment, one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Today (day 13) I woke up feeling really really good. More energized then other days, though I am detoxing emotionally now. I may not be online so much because as I progress on this fast, I am going deep internally. I've been sitting in meditation and reading the Upanishads. I have to stay really focused on 'Being.' I do deep breathing. I just focus on staying calm and surrender. Don't worry about being too forward with me! I am really open. If you'd like to email me (I'll probably only check email for the rest of my fast), it is: unfettered_moth@hotmail.com.

Keep on...we're doing awesome. This is such an amazing journey.
Much love! ::::heart:::

I've been thinking of you a lot today! You are in Idaho, aye? There's nothing sexier then a raw fruitarian, that's for sure. :-)

How long did 50lbs last you? A week? I would recommend that a person get some greens to go along with their bananas.. did you forage for any greens that week?

That is a good point Angus. I have found that a lot of fundamentalist religions accuse everyone else of worshiping the devil and it like a blind hysteria- like all these other people have a black bible in their house and secretely worship a statue...
