Advising a a young girl that her father is "unbalanced" is unwise in my view in the absence of profound data. As a father who went the distance, I can report that there are moments when chaos prevailed..but make no mistake...LOVE was the principle. My vibe was that the father was concerned and let's face it - it ain't easy raising a kid regardless of diet issue... Unfair assumption as I see it and a tad "unbalanced." Otherwise your other advise was very sound.
