You bet! And happy V-Day to you too! You'll have to let me know how the chips turn out for you or if you come up with a yummy variation. It seems so versatile you know? Next up for me are flax crackers. I think I will try Karen Knowler's version to start. Have a good night!
Heya RawHonesty! Here's the original chip recipe (http://goneraw.com/recipes/1397-Corn-chips) but here are my changes (corn, flax & salt measurements I keep the same): decrease onion to 1/2 (or quarter depending on size), 1 tsp chipotle seasoning, and 1/2 tsp cayenne (or more - suit your tastes). We like it with a little kick. This last time I used part of a purple onion. Still came out d-lish! I suppose I should've posted this to your forum but I was being lazy! :) Any way you make these they are soooo good with guac. Gotta have my chips, salsa and guac. Ha ha!
That IS funny! Thanks, Raw has made such a difference.:-)
Aww thanks that's very sweet of you! I absolutely Love GITMR because I get to meet people like you!
Hello! I just found your comment on my page ... toss that one up to me not paying attention to details.
I am happy you enjoyed my ramblings. I had to re-read my posts on "Raw Guru or Blowhard" to find out what I said. Admittedly, I should pay more attention to these items, but alack and alas, my mind is too scattered.
Your post about "personal responsibility" did resonate with me strongly, so I thank you for that addition (love your "unpretentious" tag as well - the "anti-Juliano", hahahaha). Sometimes these conversations on the forum can turn into train wrecks if we're not careful; hence, my reason to back out of that particular one.
Thanks for peering into my world. My book is coming along nicely (last night was a chapter-long rant ... I have to re-read it for the occasional scripted meanderings I do)
Keep it unheated!
:-)

I do try to keep an open mind about things...that way I can change it at any time if new information comes to light. But the information needs to be quite convincing and meet my standards for legitimacy. Fortunately for most things in the raw food world, I am comfortable with people doing their own thing even if I think I may know better. Every once in a while though something pops up and I feel I have the responsibility to share my knowledge, with the full realization that it may or may not be well-received. But I'm okay with that. That's kinda what being a Registered Dietitian is all about. In counseling clients all I can do is share information...I have no control over what, if anything, they decide to do with it. Beyond that, I just try to be as supportive as I can! I sure do love the raw food community though! What an awesome bunch of people!

Hi!
I just left a comment for Allison regarding juice feasting and colonics and such, but from her comments on your page I see she's already thinking some of the same things I am. Anyway..here's what I told her:
"I did not use enemas/colonics. I personally do not believe that they are necessary, especially for a juice feast as short as mine. I continued to have small bowel movements throughout the full 10 days of juice feasting. I also agree with the information that RawHonesty found below, indicating that there is not actually a build up of toxic material in the gut. I think it's interesting that as raw foodists and naturists we talk about how amazing the human body is, yet we don't seem to trust it to do it's job appropriately, such as filtering out the majority of toxins to which we are exposed. Most people's bodies do an excellent job, as they were made to do! And I'm not convinced that long term juice-feasting is particularly beneficial. Fiber is so important to the health of our gut. I view smoothies as a great alternative to juice-feasting."
Just wanted to keep you in the loop...this site makes following discussions a tad difficult!
I hope you have an amazing week!

Go Germany! I'm no longer working with The LifeCo & Saf in Muc, or organising events, workshops & talks in Muc, as I am abroad. I still consult clients & can provide your fave superfoods. My RawCacaoLove chocolate can be ordered through me directly.
Sorry... I had to look it up.
Sauce Recipe:
2 tbls Olive Oil
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup sun dried tomato's
1/2 cup red pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp garlic
dash of salt
I got it out of Raw Food Made Easy by Jennifer Co...
I'm serious, just go to the grocery store, buy all kinds of celery, kale, cucumbers, carrots, and whatever else you want, and juice is all and only drink juices for as long as you can!
It feels so good, I can't even describe how amazing I feel ri...
my magic bullet burnt out, it was good for travelling while I had it though. Can you get a second hand blender? The cheaper ones I have used don't chop up the greens as well. Try to get something with a higher wattage, like 1000watt.
