About Me:
I was born and raised in Toronto, the most multicultural city in the world! I'm passionate about music, languages and travel. I play piano, guitar, cajón and I compose. I'm currently doing my Masters in Ethnomusicology (world music) and my interest is in the Afro-Peruvian cajón. I speak 4 languages fluently and can say "Help, where's the bathroom!" in 17 other languages. I've lived in Morocco for 2 years, spent summers in Cuba, Côte d'Ivoire, Brazil and Peru. I love meeting people of different cultures and exchanging ideas. I especially enjoy the company of other artists: musicians, visual artists (photographers, sculptors, painters etc.), dramatic artists, writers, dancers etc. I want to live authentically. I'm considered a bit of a hippy; I reduce, reuse, recycle and recreate. I eat a raw vegan diet and am a certified raw food chef. I love wearing vintage clothing and creating fun slogans on t-shirts. I could live on cupuaçu (ask a Brazilian what that is) for the rest of my life. I enjoy entertaining friends and having one-on-one conversations with interesting, witty people. I don’t celebrate my birthday rather I celebrate my birth-month (I start from the 1st to the 31st). I love God. I love being a mother. I love my family. I love my friends. I love to laugh. I love surprises. I love learning and trying new things. I love life. Carpe Diem!

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
Cupuaçu, Pineapple, Mango and Durian. Smoothie made of Mamey and Mango. Smoothie made of Soursop (Guanabana) and Pineapple, lightly sweetened with freshly squeezed sugarcane. It's divine!!!

Wow !! Thank you sooo much for your offer. I would totally throw in some of my raw chocolates along with the cost of whatever you could bring if you do that for me. I guess what I would like more than anything would be musical instruments. Like maracas, cheapy wooden flutes, pretty much anything that's small and makes noise. I'll pm you my address later. My dad and abuelita are going to go later on this year. Me and my sister are gonna try to also. I'm not too sure if I can but I'll try.

no i've been vegan for about 5 years now, i go on and off raw, but being a Cuban vegan is pretty hard, the other day we hd a big family gathering and there was 4 tables full of food, and none of it was vegan, i had to run to the supermarket to get food to hold me off

btw, i meet this korean man, who kimchi's a bunch of veggies, and ferments a whole lot more individually, he started fermenting black beans, and they taste soo good!!!! he's my hero, next week i'm gonna start culturing some rice so i can finally make raw congri !! next i gotta find a way to make raw ropa vieja

kung fu movies sound good, i went out last night, and wound up getting my car towed, so that's killed my partying for like the next 2 months :-/, i'll just be munchin on these oranges all day today

how was your time in Cuba? that's where my father is from, my family is from Holguin, but i've never been. i'm not allowed to go, under US law. some of my cousins have gone and loved it, but i imagine it might be hard to keep it raw over there
