Hi
I think that the "conquest of fire" made people able to perservate "food" and to collect lots of "food", untill they became sick of dead perservated "food". The reason for having cattle and milk is somekind of greed as well. This all comes out ...
I think no matter what you read there is going to be research and information that tells you the opposite. I think its best to follow your own rules. Figure out what works for you and what makes you feel good and roll with it. That's what being a ...
I am compassionate and moving towards a more enlightened way of life. A raw vegan diet is part of that. I was turned on to this after living in California. Unfortunately, I haven't met anyone in Western New York who would attempt such a thing. By often taking the road less traveled, I guess I've built up a certain amount of courage.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
My biggest challenge right now is achieving and maintaining a raw lifestyle in a SAD world.

The dinner sounds wonderful. I wish I didn't live so far or I would totally be there! It would take me 75 min from my house. I'm a student so money is tight for gas. Thanks so much for the info though I appreciate it.
Hello Quentin.. Great having you as a "friend"! :-)
Yup.. I TOTALLY identify w/ what u said about striving for perfection and wanting to win ALL the time.. We're VERY much alike in that way...
Just like you.. Not much local "raw support" here in Central CT.& forget my friends.. I might as well be an alien, for all they can relate to!! lol.. I think this raw journey makes us tap into our inner strengths & helps us grow in new challenging ways...
Like my cooking! Its like I'm learning all over again.. starting over.. It seems like my past prep work comes in handy.. cause my "cooking" skills are now void! lol
Thanks for ur great comments.. Ur a sweety :-)
Lots of love.......Amanda
Hey Quentin,
I know exactly what you mean. Even though I have gone through hell (which I am sure addiction is), I wouldn't change a thing because I am where I am today because of the struggles I went through in my past. I am so happy that you had family to fall back on during your difficult times...and more importantly, that you're in a better place. Isn't it funny how life turns out so completely differently than how we plan? If you would have described my current life to me a year ago, I would have laughed in your face! Have a great weekend!!!!
Hi Quentin,
Thank you so much for your kind words! Why did you move from Cali? I have been looking into moving there- it seems like a raw foodist's dream:)
