About Me:
1989-Began extensive development in Transcendental Meditation.
1991-Moved to Los Angeles to apprentice with Guru Singh Khalsa.
This involved attendance to all classes, accompaniment to all 3HO/Sikh Dharma functions, as well as Satsung with Yogi Bhajan, weekly private treatments, retreats at his cottage in Big Bear. This was complimented with 3 hrs of excessive yoga daily as well as my first exploration into the sattvic diet, and fasting...leading to subsequent Kundalini awakening, before I'd even heard of it.
1992-Tasajara Zen Mountain Center. Carmel Valley, California. Deeply studied Zazen, which is of the Soto tradition, in the monastery established by Suzuki-Roshi himself. Here I reflected deeply on Buddhist Scriptures, and teachings, and began teaching yoga daily.
1993-Ram Das Puri, Espanola, New Mexico. Initially visited for a Tantric Yoga Course with Yogi Bhajan---but this grew into the following positions for 3H0:
>"Guide" at Khalsa Youth Camp. Responsible for introducing Sikh children to the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, deep in the Jemez Mountains.
>"Archivist" archiving Yogi Bhajan's collection of gifts, and donations.
>"Sadhana Sevatar" collecting all the people that could not wake themselves up to attend Sadhana at 4 am. Involving vigorous pranayama, yoga and chanting.
1994-The Ayurvedic Institute. Enrolled in ASP Level 1 with Dr. Vasant Lad, with subsequent courses in anatomy physiology, Sanskrit, Ayur-Yoga, and Jyotish.
1998-The Suni Guru-ji Hospital, University., Pune, India. As guest to the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Devakar, I attended lectures and practicum in Surgury, and Ayurveda.

2000-2006.-The Society For Traditional Studies, Toronto. Studied Sufi concepts of transpersonal development using movement in the Toronto and Vancouver Groups.
2003-2006.The Guru Ram Das Ashram, Toronto. Ashram Manager. While studying Jyotish with international pundits, doing private yoga consultations, studying The Yoga Sutras and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, as well as Sanskrit I also managed the details of the Ashram, from repairs to organizing weddings, scheduling classes etc..
Present. Teaching Kundalini Yoga, consulting in Jyotish, and Ayurveda. Studying Sanskrit and Shastra.
About My Service
All Vedic sciences are complete within themselves. From these parts the whole can be measured- and adjustments can be made along the path to absolution. Where these sciences overlap, much can be determined to catalyze the development of certain frequencies of awareness leading or guiding the aspirant toward a more harmonious, and balanced view of themselves and the world around them. Attaining this new view is only the first step. Understanding it, maintaining it, sharing it, and learning its proper use is, well... the other first step. The combination of Vedic Astrology, 'Jyotish', with Ayurveda, and various yoga and meditation methods are my main focus, and appears to be the most effective and requested service that I offer.

Thanks Priyam! You are very kind and generous with your appreciation, and I appreciate the specificity. I agree with you completely that fasting is generally very poorly understood, mostly feared, and almost always avoided.
Though someone once su...
Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
We dont want organic pasteurized, that is the same as conventional to us. Its been treated with something to kill it because that it what people do kill beautiful things it seems. Dead people.
Hi Jeff,
Every organism is completely self-healing. When sick or badly injured enough, every species will lie down and rest completely. Fasting itself has no curative power, but when we stop processing food (the single most energy expensive proce...

I am originally from NY so whenever I needed a taste of the city I would head over to Hakata or Tenjin.
Do you know Govinda Kai? I think he is over in Fukuoka now too teaching yoga. And hey, boredom in these troubled times can be a serious blessing:)
